I was lucky enough to finish university and enter employment before this became truly mainstream. Whilst it was simmering in the background, it had not permeated anywhere near to the same extent as it has now. We now have large companies having openings that are exclusive to women and minorities, where previously this was confined to the Civil Service and other levers of government. To be a British male entering university now must be such a discouraging experience. There are outlets, of course, but these are unofficial, they extend to student clubs forever teetering on the brink of exclusion or violent protest. When graduating and entering the jobs market, they are going to encounter a world that is heavily stacked against them.
The narrative of the lamentably oppressed - but still strong, and independent - womyn is simply a fiction. It does not tally with reality. The entire narrative is a falsehood, and it is increasingly leading to the marginalisation of those British men who are not wealthy and cannot rely on nepotism to secure professional employment. These men are told over and over again that they are nasty, rude, privileged and in control when their experiences are the exact opposite. More than anything, this represents the greatest failure of our civilisation.
Thurrock's British pupil contingent fell by 2% a year in that period.
That's the equivalent of an entire class in a seven-entry form becoming foreign in the space of seven years.
