Wrong.

>80s: Hokuto no Ken
So great no one gives a shit about it.
There was much more influential anime around that time.

Not even the greatest anime in their respective seasons.

everyone who replies to this thread following this post will immediately lose all remaining limbs

60s: Sazae-san
70s: Sazae-san
80s: Sazae-san
90s: Sazae-san
00s: Sazae-san
10s: Sazae-san
Let's see what the next decades will bring us.

Hokuto no Ken actually has a lot of terrible filler episodes. The main fights are great but everything inbetween them is mostly boring or trash.

Post the rest of the picture, for my penis sake.

I mean, I think that OP didnt get a single show right but influential and good are two entirely different things. This meme needs to fucking go.

If you have to ask, then you wouldn't like it.

Sexiest anime woman ever

80s: LoGH (pretty hard to beat something like that in its own category, still a behemoth of the medium despite its issues)
90s: NGE (muh influence. I don't think it's as great as most people say it is, but you can't really ignore something like that)
00s: Haibane Renmei (apart from the derpy visuals at times, this show did everything right)
10s: Tatami Galaxy (same as Haibane except it is competent in the visuals derpatment)

Oh please Legend of the Galactic Heroes isn't all that. Fun show with above average writing but you gotta be on something to call it a "behemoth" of animation

Woman? Are you sure about that?

The best anime of the 90s was Pokémon. Evangelion was trash.

Yes. Kyoko is a woman. Stop with your gay trap shit

That's something everybody but Eva fans will agree on.

Yes. Kyoko's a girl.

LoGH's biggest shortcoming is that it doesn't use the medium's strengths in any way. And I also agree that it is too long for its own good.

But calling LoGH's writing only above average is pissing in the wind. The show's script (especially for something that long) is great despite some questionable decisions regarding certain events and/or characters.

I don't really think anything can come close to LoGH in the 80s (even though it mostly aired in the 90s, but whatever).

Where is ACK? He is usually here at the drop of a dime.

If you're that desperate post a picture of Kyoko and Mami kissing or something.

It is only above average. It's nothing we haven't heard a million times before. Engaging enough, sure, but it's brought down by lifeless acting, clichéd dialogue and an overall lack of new insight into its themes. To say it's the best of the 80s is to express either an ignorance of everything else from that era, or to make an appeal purely to taste, disregarding any shortcomings it has.

>I don't really think anything can come close to LoGH in the 80s

Yea I totally agr....

m.youtube.com/watch?v=S9kN0pct-Q8

LoGH is very basic politics. But it probably impressed the fuck out of chuunis

name one show that was inspired by it, that isn't jojos

>still a behemoth of the medium despite its issues
I think you're confused and are actually talking about Gundam.

Are you retarded or just pretending to be? The achievement of LOGH far supercedes anything that any other anime has done. I presume you are just too stupid to understand the political complexities and intricate character studies that the series portrays. It's a shame that anime is such a trash medium or we could get more shows like this, but it is down to imbecilic low IQ morons like you that we are stuck with shit anime about retarded girls in school with big eyes.

>an overall lack of new insight into its themes
Pretty much anime in a nutshell.

>I don't really think anything can come close to LoGH in the 80s
Nothing in all of anime comes close

>Nothing in all of anime comes close

Madoka is unironically better.

80s: LoTGH
90s: Cowboy Bebop
00s: Mushishi
10s: Made in Abyss

Shit posting finally started

Madoka is the pinnacle of kino

More or less true. There are a few I find smartly written but they're always supported by solid craft, and more often than not I find more worth in formal elements than literary.

I thought you guys were just meming with that 80s pick even though it's late and if that's the case it's competing against DBZ which is far more influential.

It's not shit posting. I'm dead serious.

80s: Dragon Ball
90s: NGE
00s: Naruto
10s: Konosuba

>Konosuba

Nice meme. Try and bury the fanboy inside a little deeper or just kill him entirely user because that pick belongs in the trash.

Advanced shitposting

It's gotta be. Konosuba was good but let's get real.

>Konosuba was good
Objectively wrong

He also picked Dragon Ball and Naruto, for whatever reason.

Unicorn?

More influential =/= Better

I'm only putting that down as its one of the few anime I've seen from the 80s

Okay so we're all thinking it so why don't we cut the bullshit and get down to brass tacts already. Everybody is just waiting for sombody to argue that Madoka is better than pretty much anything posted in this thread so that everybody can take their shot and try and explain why their favorite anime is somehow magically better than a Faust derivative gone Urubuchi with an epic soundtrack and Inu Curry art when in all reality guaranteed 99% of the people trying to make the argument haven't even seen Madoka and they will claim they have but it's obvious as hell to anybody who has actually been through the experience themselves they're lying. In fact most of them are Eva fans pissed that Madoka did what their favorite series did but better.

There's three types of anime fans.

1: Those who have watched Madoka and loved it

2: Those who haven't watched Madoka and hate it

3: Those who have watched Madoka and loved it but claim it's overrated in order to fill the painful void in their heart from the neglect they suffer in real life

This is a bait thread.

80s: Ranma 1/2
90s: NGE
00s: Elfen Lied
10s: Maid Dragon

Calm down, girl. Sup Forums loves Madoka. We all know it is absolute kino.

I hate when people call Madoka overrated. All I hear is "I think Madoka was epic but since too many other people like it I'm going to pretend I didn't like it so much" and it drives me crazy. If you're going to be a contrarian hipster bitch at least have some tact.

What if I think it's mediocre and overrated?

That most likely means you just want attention.

I think a more extreme opinion would be more indicative of wanting attention, don't you?

>best 10s anime
>somehow not Mawaru Pinguindrum
delete this entire thread

On Madoka
>What if I think it's mediocre and overrated?

That's a pretty damn extreme opinion user.

>Implying Ikuhara has ever made anything good
Delete this entire post

If you say so

I don't even have to say it. Anybody who has actually watched the series can just look at what you posted and cringe.

Not a TV anime.

OP just said greatest anime, not greatest anime which aired on television.

If you look up It's all TV anime.
And Thunderbolt is better.

It's not even as good as Aldnoah Zero. Get that shot outta here.

>inb4 but it's old
Doesn't matter. Being old doesn't make the anime any better.

Yeah, I just mean that as per the thread, user doesn't have to restrict himself if he doesn't want to.

>being old doesn't make an anime better
True words.

Is the author a smugness fetishists?

>thread this old and no K-on
I'm disappointed in Sup Forums

Most of Gundom is outdated by now and Geass has horrific character design. The only reason Eva even stands a chance in the Mech category is because of lack of competition to be honest and the fact that it's not even really about mechs so people can stand to watch it without falling asleep.

That being said Eva isn't a very good series.

>ctrl-f k-on
>two results

(You)

Based on influence:
80s: Akira
90s: Eva
00s: Code Geass
10s: OPM/JoJo

shh, no one needs to know that

>old
>3hours

something feels wrong when people post the words greatest and anime in one sentence

What or who did Code Geass or One Punch Man influence?

>10s: Hyouge Mono
A fellow aesthete, I see...

What are you getting at?

80s: Dragon ball
90s: Pokémon
00s: Yu Gi Oh
10s: Madoka

Fixed that for you.

>Eva

What a joke.
