I think mikoto is the type of character who doesn't have to end up with Touma. She doesn't like him for being himself, but for being courageous and caring of others. You could argue this is himself, and I would agree, but there are other men with matching virtue in both of those categories.

I think if she gets denied by Touma, however that would happen, she could still end up happy with someone who carries the same virtues as Touma, to the same degree of course.

Let me correct you a little, it doesn't play off like a triple A game but there is still a lot of care being put into it.
This game feels like a well made (MMO)RPG by a studio that clearly loved the original work and tries its best to make something good.
The game could use some improvments but it still is one of the best games we could hope for.

The problem for me is that i really like Mikoto and don't want her to suffer, but the story has built up in a way that it either ends with them getting together or in heartbreak. It would have been nice if Kamachi made her have a crush on him like most of the other girls and not go to the extreme that he did, since i don't see it ending well for her if she gets rejected or he dies or whatever. Unless she somehow gets over her feelings, but after a buldup like that for said feelings it'd just feel stupid.
