Abraham gave the blessing given to him by God to his son Isaac, who gave it to his son Jakob (Israel), who gave it to his son Joseph (not Judah), who gave it to his son Ephraim. The Bible says that David was the son of Jesse, the Ephraithite living in Bethlehem (the place where Rachel, the mother of Jakob's son Joseph, was buried) which was located in the Kingdom of Judah. David was an Ephraithite (of the House of Ephraim) like his father, not a Jew (of the House of Judah), even though he lived on the territory given to the House of Judah (the Jews), so he had the blessing that God gave to Abraham, and Jesus was of the House of David, so he was an Ephraitite (not a Jew even though he lived on territory belonging to the Jews) like David and had this blessing too. The Kingdom of Judah (consisting of the tribe of Judah and Benjamin) was at war with the Kingdom of Israel (consisting of the tribe of Ephraim and the other nine tribes) until the Babylonians conquered the Kingdom of Israel and sent the House of Israel into exile. When Jesus came for the lost sheep of the House of Israel, he was talking about these lost tribes that had never returned, not about the Jews who do not have God's blessing because the blessing went to Joseph and his son Ephraim, not Judah.
Who are the lost tribes of Israel today? (Hint: They are not Jews and have nothing to do with the modern state of "Israel".)
