Depends which Generation map you follow. Some place even people born from 1961 on in Gen X because that age group did not benefit from postwar prosperity (plentiful jobs, low house prices, etc.). Different life experience from Boomers, different attitude.

The more time goes by the later they push the years out, nowadays people born in the early sixties are considered boomers and people born in the early 80 are considered X. Eventually people born in the early 00s will be though of as millenials

I also think events you witnessed and the environment around you defines you more than how you reacted to it. I was defined by the same events as my generation yet reacted differently. I don't have their same "Let's panic and shut off freedom" reaction they do.

Originally yes, then it got pushed out to refer to anyone old enough to have fought in Vietnam. Finally it got pushed out to anyone born before 1965.

Just to be clear, I'm not talking about my particular case. I don't have to complain that much since my parents helped me more than they should have. But among my friends, it's a total different story. Their parents are not helping them through donations because "muh responsibility " (which is easy to say when you start your life on a job market where you could be employed the day after you went out of highschool or uni).

In fact, I don't have any friend doing better than their parents did.

Ok fuck generations, I can't figure out when they start of end anymore. For they start of Millenials I keep getting different years from 1977 to 1985, Then with the start of Gen Z I get a variation from 1994 all the way to 2007. Seriously I can't figure it the fuck out.
