It was part of the hyped up 6 new series by Jump, and the first three chapters are unbelievably bad. From what I heard, the author decided to go crazy with his plot when the manga was about to get cancelled.

I don't remember threads dedicated to u19 alone, but in ToCthreads it was covered in shit and laughed at pretty much all the time. I even felt kinda bad for author with his last comment on Jump.

There was no story, it was just a series of fights and gags.

The writing was dumb, some say that it just ripped off Persona 5 plot. Artstyle was fucking weird. Worst of all, it wasn't really interesting. When author deliberately turned it into an entertaining trainwreck, it was already too late.

Basically, he just poured all the characters he wanted to draw and all the twists he wanted to use into these last few chapters. So it's kinda both ways, I guess.

U19's first chapter was the worst thing to have come out of Jump in years.
