Thanks a bunch man, this shit's great

...

Yariman pengi!

Another day of suffering as Kadokawa doesn't say anything?

>every day that passes with no news brings me closer to having to decide whether to cancel my serval nendo preorder or not

You should just cancel it at this point.
Soon it will be too late. Just get an energetic cat.

>their ears are fake

How can japan, without fail, fuck up literally everything?

Just buy it. boycotting Kadokawa is meaningless as for every one of you guys, there are fifty dumb secondaries or kids that will buy no matter what

Why shoebirb got so many doujins anyway? I really don't get what's in her character that tickled so many porn artists

Hey guys let's not turn this thread into a Kadokawa circlejerk. We've already had enough of that.
It's the eyes.

What, do you WANT them to be actual furries? You do know where that whole leads, right?

But the ears aren't fake, they're just made of magic that allows them to have human bodies and animal features at the same time.

> Even regarding the girls' clothing, much is unclear. Animal Girls that come to be in the centre of the Park, particularly those from the breeding facility
> particularly those from the breeding facility
> the breeding facility

> Start a guidebook thread.
> OP is Serval's butt
It cannot be contained, I see. The lewd that is.

Her butt is cute!

I went to Sup Forums's IRC about how these threads are being moderated and even got a response, but that's it. Very textbook "did you use feedback/qa/hey we do listen you know"

well alright assuming they do, go on Sup Forums's IRC as well and state your case, because of the like 4/5 attempts I've made of presenting a case about this hullabaloo IRC was the only one with even vague success

there was a thread on /jp/ earlier that could've gone worse but didn't go splendidly

I don't want to bring up meta shit but I'm tired of getting home from work and finding threads being purged and shit when I just want to relax. Making a difference is only going to work with several people working. I've been up too long, it's 4am, I'm going to bed.

>It's the eyes.
I don't see anything particularly lewd about her eyes

Friends aren't lewd in themselves excepting a certain sea lion and Mexican salamander. It's the fans that make them lewd by applying their lewd imaginations to the girls lewdly.

That is, if all KF stuff looked exactly like the show, porn of it would not be in demand.

...

What is it with newfags and not knowing what a furry is. Go back to where you came from.

this is a thread about the guidebook
you don't need to have a thread to post fanart in 24/7, if you want to do that go to /c/
if you have actually something of value to say make a thread on Sup Forums
this isn't hard, and take your metashit elsewhere

Every retarded thread people make in /jp/ makes it harder to make threads about KF material that actually is /jp/-related, so please stop. It really doesn't help.

I've been looking for an opening to create a thread for weeks now but the timing is never right.

>trying to have tact and subtlety, approach the situation diplomatically, and make a pleasant thread that everybody can enjoy
>shitposters ruin everything
it resonates on so many levels

Doesn't it sound like some of the experimentation might be pretty morally ambiguous?

What exactly did they try doing to remove the tail and ears? Just tug on them until the animal girls say they hurt?

I wonder how they manage to create animal girls too, just stick some sandstar on a dead sample of animal tissue?

You could so imagine this setting having experimentation gone wrong being the cause of Ceruleans.

Wasn't it the foxes in the game who discovered they could hide their ears/tails?

Sandstar falls where it will, you can't really control it
if you try to capture it, your capture mechanisms will be turned into Ceruleans

Yeah I suppose that was derived from Foxes in Japanese folk lore which had legends of being able to shapeshift into humans.

The guidebook seems to suggest they could at some point in time control or trigger the creation of animal girls considering they had a breeding facility.

that's just so you can spread wild animals around the park to increase the chances of sandstar creating animal girls out of them

It doesn't seem like they are spread around the park considering it specifically mentions they speculate they may be wearing more regular clothes due to being born in close proximity to the centre of the park. Suggests it is one specific location.

I ordered it from the GSC shop and they already billed my credit card yesterday despite it not shipping until the 25th.

Oh well, I did want a physical reminder of a show I loved so much.

17 hours until game news.

No regrets.

Bretty gute

For being smart those owls are really dumb.

Do you have any other pages?

Some of you might be interested to know Sugawara, who was heavily involved in things like gdgd Fairies and Sega Hard Girls in various capacities has a new and utterly bizarre cheap borderline incomprehensible 3DCG anime airing this season called Onyankopon which is getting subs.

that's everything that's been translated
I don't know if the Raws have ever been uploaded

There are raws available for everything up to and including guidebook 5. There are links in the archive somewhere I am fairly certain.

I'm on it asap

report back with initial impressions I'm too busy to pick up anime this season but I'll put it on the list if it's good

Owls are dumb in real life.

Wow, what a copout ending. Well, I guess even if school life is nice there's no place like home.

Desert combi hits it out of the park once again.

It's a 3 minute short where some west african god called Onyankopon has seen the troubled state of the lives of Japanese high school girls and their surffering so intends to rescue them with the power of afrobeat song and dance.

It appears to in some way be a project related to two youngish girls now called "Makomnai" who got popular on social media posting videos of them dancing, and then branched out into music of their own, as they are credited as Chief Producers, do some voices and are dancing in the ED.

Where do I send my resume?

I'm working on them this week/weekend; should hopefully have the last lore page of GB4 and the other two pages of GB2 (all three are short) by Sunday

after I'm done I'll continue where we left off on the game TL

no fuck the game I need the guidebooks

It would be really nice to have a proper game translation as opposed to the summary we have at the moment. I know there are some sites out there with the Japanese text posted now as text rather than just images which does make it easier I suppose.

I would really like to see the interview with Tatsuki, the interview with Tatsuki, Yuko Shiromizu and Yoshihisa Isa, and the final interview with Tatsuki and Yoshizaki from the guidebooks properly translated though. Although those do seem like a lot of work.

The majority of the stuff in the guidebooks really isn't going to shed all that much light on anything.

You're always free to round up translators yourself. As far as I've seen it's one guy doing this whole thing.

I almost volunteered to help, but I failed.

proper game TL is started and currently on Chapter 2 so when I get done with the GBs' important pages that'll be my primary focus; not like we have anything else going on until whatever Pavilion brings

>one guy doing this whole thing
can confirm

You're doing god's work OP, thanks.

I understand my demands are unreasonable and you're going to do what you want. Thank you for your time, I'll probably read your work when you've finished.

I love KF so it's my pleasure; I have a really amazing typesetter too who usually goes through the effort of posting our stuff here (I can't Shop for shit)

Yeah that's fair enough. I just love hearing about details of the production of anime that we get from those kinds on interviews and so far all we really get is the more juicy snippets here and there rather than a full picture from them for the most part but naturally you are going to work on whatever you find most interesting.

Speaking of Pavilion could be fairly soon indeed considering it is less than 24hrs until news now and the game should be released in the next month or two.

I understand; I'm more about the lore myself so even though I find interviews interesting, I know they're just too long for me to effectively have time for as a lone TLer if I ever plan on getting all of this done

the game is actually chock-full of content and I'm fortunate that one of my wiki contributors has devoted themselves to Nexon voice lines and character self-introductions (they need editing for grammar but they're still accurate to the Japanese)

and yeah, here's hoping we finally see gameplay (and here's hoping it's not Neko Atsume but with a KF skin as I fear)

This 'bodes. Such a minuscule dev cycle gives me nothing but bad vibes. I can't expect people to be TOO ambitious with the license, but cranking a product out this fast, and having it be anything of worth, is unlikely. I'm not even adverse to mobile games, I quite like them, but I'm aware of how easy it is to cash-in on one. After all, I keep hearing that the alarm, despite being darling, isn't the best alarm app around.

The game on its own looks like a lot of work and I look forward to reading it. Are you going to focus on just the main story? There is that second separate story and the character side quests things and events too aren't there?

As for Pavilion I don't think its too out of the question to see gameplay and maybe even get a release date at this point considering how close it should be. They will probably have a pre-registration period I suppose. That said everytime we thought we were getting news about it so far there hasn't been a lot so I will keep my expectations low.

The alarm doesn't allow you to set multiple recurring alarms. It's honestly kind of nonsensical.

...

Well from what we know so far it is going to be a "Friends Observation" game, what that actually means who knows, and looks to be set in a time when Japari Park was still open and getting visitors, with even more SD character art than before given the visuals we have so far.

It does now, unless you mean multiple alarms at different points in the day.

No.

>furries
Oh, not again...

main story first and foremost, yeah. the second story would be the next objective but for now I just want to get the real thing done with

we're talking about how to handle the group quests and other side stories right now and the working idea is that we won't give them a proper TL for the time being (the group quests are especially long), but at least give them individual articles with short summaries

for Pavilion, I feel the same; I wouldn't be surprised (nor particularly disappointed...) if we got a 2018 release date and apology for the delay with the next KemoFure Hour

You're a good Friend in these hard times.

That sounds like a good way to handle it to me. It's better to actually get things done than be way too ambitious, get swamped and bogged down and never finish anything and the main story is clearly the most important part to have.

A delay to the game would surprise me if only because they have already announced the release date for theme song as a new single. Seems like you would want to expose people to it in the game before trying to sell CDs of it.

You must remember the truth, Anonymous

definitely. honestly I'm looking forward to the game TL after doing these pseudo-scientific research reports that comprise several of the guidebooks' significant pages; working on Kako/Mirai's self-introductions reminded me how much I really miss dialogue lol

and that's a fair point, I'm honestly just being hopeful because I'm concerned that it's going to be a rushed product

Their feelings depart from the difference in academic ability.
Ironic that it is difficult to keep eternal friendship in real society.

>morally upright
>turns lolis into soup

Uh huh

Please do not bully Serval. Thank you.

What is the Most Dangerous game to Serval?

Rock climbing.

The sugoi

>Smells like a cat

Catch the Bus

I suppose the language usage must be quite different between the two, perhaps making the guidebook pages more difficult having all those made up terms and things.

Looking at the game so far, I wouldn't be surprised if it is quite light on the lore aspects of the series and goes more for leaning on the cuteness of the animal girls and maybe has facts about the animals they are based on and such. It doesn't seem like the kind of thing that will have a particularly in depth story if any. The potential promise of finding new Friends suggested in some of the material seems interesting though.

no no no, the picture is saying that people who are morally upright love Nanachi's ears, not that Nanachi's ears indicate that she is morally upright, because that would be a lie. Everybody knows that Nanachi murdered all sorts of people for her various experiments, both with and without Bondrewd's orders.

Angry birb.

What do Friends smell like? Always imagined Sandstar to smell good.

It'd probably be odorless unless it has some nasty chemicals in it I guess. Always figured the Park smelled literally like a Zoo.

just has a lot of words that seldom appear in everyday speech which then need to be translated accordingly to preserve the scholarly tone, but yeah, very different language usage between normal フレンズ語 and most of the GBs

that's my current take on the game, although I was at least relieved that they revealed some lore-specific info (albeit vaguely) right off the bat in the last big presentation. with a description like "observation game" my hopes aren't super high for it matching the original narrative (which, despite the crappy gameplay, was still a great story) but they certainly still have room to surprise us

also to be honest I hope they at least show a majority of the original game Friends before they start mass-introducing never-before-seen ones

oh, and thanks Furenzu

Fennekaban fanart makes me feel so bad. I translated this so you could feel gutted alive too.

You are a gentleman and a scholar, my good man.

It doesn't matter how good or bad the thread is anything KF related gets deleted on /jp/ pretty quickly and /jp/ isn't really known for its high quality posts.
