That plus constant unresolved sexual tension with Matsuda that doesn't advance AT ALL over the course of 124 episodes. You have to watch the OVA to get a resolution on that.
Matsuda's side piece was also fucking annoying.

Maybe the first two times they use that same plot sequence it was cute and fun, after the 3rd or 4th? 5th 6th and 7th? It became tiresome and dumb.
Only other redeemable factors about Yawara is that it's animated consistently well and has 10/10 art style and character designs, that's about it though. Otherwise it's complete shit and you're better off either watching like the first 24 episodes and calling it quits or just not watching at all.
