why didn't he just get his own apples instead of helping light find the cameras?
Why didn't he just get his own apples instead of helping light find the cameras?
It's against the rules
Maybe he needs a human to deliberately hand him a physical item or else he cannot interact with it.
He's bored and had nothing better to do.
He was physically bound to light. If Light didn't go by any apples, he couldn't get them.
Doesn't he pluck one from a market once?
why didn't Light just bribed him to kill N and L?
Probably because it was so fun to watch him struggle. I don't think a couple apples could win him over that far.
It was all a game to him. Possibly, marginally, he saw Light as a student, but he was simply having fun.
I think he somewhat disliked Light, honestly. If he wasn't completely ambivalent, that is
He probably disliked him as much as he liked him in terms of personality, they just went back and forth like that, but he loved watching Light struggle and succeed. He found him wildly entertaining. He liked what Light did, even if he didn't explicitly like Light.
He disliked him in a way you dislike someone who has potential but no maturity. The way you look at younger siblings when they do something retarded.
parents didnt give him the talk
he doesn't know where apples come from
Lilith plz.
There was a scene in the second part of the story where Ryuk flies away with Sidoh, the death note's original owner, after he informed Light he wanted to go take a look at the city, means the Shinigami can probably momentarily separate from the human. That part ruined and invalidated cameras scene.
Except Ryuk is immature. He's a moron who doesn't do anything but fuck around.
Well, the second part of Death Note is kind of a mess, so I think it's safe to say that that was a mistake.
Yeah, I don't get people likening him to a parent. He was just bored. I personally just think he kind of thought Light was a cunt, even if he was entertaining.
It's a pair of edge lords, both of them are immature assholes acting selfishly without a full grasp of their actions.
>have absolutely no stake in the human world
>live thousands of years
ryuk doens't care because he has no reason to care not because he doesn't know WHY he should care.
It's like he was watching an animal and wanted to see how far it could push itself. Even if you don't like cats you can have fun watching a cheetah run and kill prey. It's just also he could talk to it and play a little bit.
Don't you ever watch a show and wish you could have a conversation with a character on it? Even if you didn't like them as a person it would be a fun thing to do.
Ryuk has no morals unlike humans. He is a creature from another world whose only raison d'etre is killing others to survive.
Because he said he wouldnt help him directly
Because he wanted to see Light actually do something with the Death Note rather than spend weeks figuring out where the cameras are.
He is but he can afford to be. How many gods and godlike characters act in accord to their age?
