Are they dead?

Are they dead?

Considering who owns them, no.

Didn't OPM get a second season? They have to be at least around for that I imagine.

user...

They are doing a new CCS series next season.

MAPPA is new Madhouse, deal with it.

It's amazing how many good (but terrible sales wise) shows a studio can pop out whilst still being in business somehow

WHY DID THEY ACCEPT THE MARVEL DICK, THEY TARNISHED THE LEGACY THEY HELD.

Which good anime has been produced by MAPPA?

All of them.

inb4 people start sperging about JC Staff
It was never going to be the same without Natsume Shingo, the studio is irrelevant

Kids on the Slope and In This Corner of the World.

1. Disc sale is not the only source of revenue
2. If the studio is not on the production committee, there is no risk to them financially

Corner of the world

>produced many good shows
Only CCS and Dennou Coil

...

...

>next season
Aren't they doing overlord next season?

Both are airing next season.

hmmmmmmmmmmm

This shit frustrates me. They used to be monopolists in animating edgy mangos industry and now probably sit on a ton of rights and do fucking nothing.

>gave up opm and mahouka
>made ngnl movie
>overlord 2
>ccs sequel
>antarctica thing
>possible dungeon meshi in the works

Doesnt really matter for the studio as long as they just get contracted to produce a show. The only bad thing that can happen is production goes wrong and they have to pay with their own cash to correct it or they dont get hired anymore and quitetly die out.
So as long as shows get produced and the production runs smoothly with the budget they were given then they are going to be fine.

They were $30 million in debt until NTV saved their ass, they got it all back with hxh though.
