Surprisingly, Sailor Moon is one of the few shows where that doesn't happen. Its basically the only long runner I've finished completely, but it's just so satisfying and rewatchable that that emptiness never comes, as it isn't a series that becomes less enjoyable when you already know what happens, or on repeat viewings and you can skip the parts you don't like on rewatches too.
On top of that, there is actually more of it, there are several adaptations like the musicals that are great in their own right + the manga and all of the versions are completely different form each other and involve entirely different shit occurring.
