Would the leftists try to shame this man if he were alive today? Is he the most based A-list movie star of all time or what? A true man's man.
On a side note, what are his best movies?

His best film is probably True Grit. He absolutely would be shamed today, just like anyone of his generation would be.
>what are his best movies
That one about Chinks that they made in the desert out West downwind of where they test all the nukes and everybody that worked on the movie got cancer.
>what are his best movies
Pillow Talk and Lover Come Back got some good reviews.
Hondo
The Searchers
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
Red River
El Dorado
The Shootist
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
He was rejected for military service because of his homosexual tendencies.
Of course they would. But he wouldn't exist today; No, he was just a prejudiced old man. Nothing he said was particularly red-pilled or esoteric, just, "I hate blackies!"
The Shootist was better than True Grit. I actually liked the remake of True Grit more because it's not generic Hollywood western schlockfest like the majority of "classic" westerns.
He's a white icon

>True Grit
There's a moment in that movie where he's standing with a mug of coffee, hears something and smoothly puts the mug down, draws a pistol from a holster on a table, cocks and aims it.
You almost don't notice it but for a tall man he moves like Bruce Lee so you don't even see how actually beautiful his moves are.
Rutger Hauer tried to do the same thing in Blade Runner and did it well i think. Being deadly isn't about shooting and punching, it shows all the time, in everything you do.
Wayne always seemed to have one hand on his hip and one hand doing something.
Yes he'd be squeaked at today, the same way all today's squeakers would be beaten to death in his day.
Someone like Humphrey Bogart, though, will always be seen as a shit. He got decked in a bar after putting a cigarette out on a woman's face.
There's differences in time and culture, then there's transcendent faggotry.

The book Blood Meridian subverted the whole Western genre by reinstating the savagery, moral depravity and lawlessness of the frontier. After that book was widely read, a lot of Westerns looked stupid or just didn't work as stories.
That remake was affected by that book's shadow.
Double-doubles + pic... Translation: everything shareblue says is a malicious lie.
get lost kike
Don't know about that, but he definitely used to drink and play poker with Ed Wood while wearing a dress.
Prove it or neck yourself.
He'd probably just be of the flag-waving neocon persuasion if he was alive today. The type of dude who only cares about military might and takes the civic nationalist position on everything. Similar to these overweight suburbanites who don't have a problem with their children marrying niggers as long as said nigger are in some branch of the military. "Yeah, my blonde haired daughter married a man of Haitian descent, so what? He's a Captain in the Air Force!"
john wayne was gay.
"The Quiet Man"
>That remake was affected by that book's shadow.
Most of us had never heard of the book til just now
They passed the 1965 immigration act, they deserve it.
>Early in his career Wayne was introduced to the world of cross-dressing by western movie producer and longtime transvestite, John Ford, who extolled its virtues – a way to ease the daily pressures of the movie business – to the impressionable young Wayne. (According to Ford’s biographer, the director picked the practice up from acquaintance Winston Churchill, the British politician, who said a bit of cross-dressing greatly eased his bouts with depression, or his black dog as he called it.) Ford got Wayne started, furnishing the young actor with a black shift, some matching pumps, and a glamour wig. A bit of a sentimentalist, Wayne retained the glamour wig Ford gave him and, rumor has it, was buried wearing it.
m8 it's no big secret, he wasn't gay, it was just a way to de-stress after being a manly macho man all day for a living.
McClintock! is one of his best and it also stars the most beautiful woman of all time, Maureen O’Hara
>flag waving neo-con
i think you got him wrong, he was a quiet sort of man, with gentle manners we don't see much these days. They're there, but gentlemen are invisible now.
I really couldn't see him waving a flag and yelling 'Fuck your fee-fees!' in public.
He wouldn't be working unless he was a cock sucker and from Australia.
Thanks for reading every word i posted and burping your insecurity, gg.
I also prefer the remake of True Grit. It's one of the few movies (of recent years) I've ever watched more than once.
I always find it hilarious it wasn't extolled for its feminist virtues, but then when you look at the character of Maddie, you can understand why. She isn't a feminist, she's a man.
Rio Lobo
McLintock
Quiet Man (admittedly meme-y)
Big Jake
*all underrated Duke classics. MANY SUCH CASES!
Lol nice bait
This.
I also actually really enjoy the remake as well. Just rewatched it agaim the other night, I always completely forget Matt Damon is in it though. Somehow his performance as La Beef is completely forgettable, which is surprising considering the scene where Maddie wakes up with him at the foot of her bed, she gives him sass and he says something along the lines of "now I've been nice to you up until now, when what I could have done was sneak a kiss or two from you while you were sleeping there if I really wanted to even though you're quite young and quite sickly looking...".
Surprised me it didn't/doesn't get more shit for that... Anyways, I fucking love good authentic westerns. I love rewatching all the good ones that have been made, and I wish more would be made today that don't force bullshit diversity and pc sensitivities, and unrealistic women's rolls into them.
Someone should petition Clint Eastwood to direct a true western before he's gone. I bet he would put out a fucking fantastic movie.
