That said I still haven't seen either FMA. Is it actually worth watching or is it another of those "required viewing" animes like Gungrave that actually suck?

Currently just started watching Yokai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou. Better than expected but I'm only on episode 4. Probably going to watch Kamen no Maid Guy when I get caught up.

I liked Diebuster
It's completely different from Gunbuster though , so some people don't like it

Diebuster is not even nearly as bad as Gunbuster

I don't see how this is a problem. Batman: The Animated Series had great art direction.

Macross without a doubt.

But Batman is great

Watching and enjoying Ima Soko Ni Iru Boku. Next I either Hyouka or Moyashimon.
