Probably not, probably not.

Yes and yes, Violet Evergarden will save the anime

It will be trash

You can always expect greatness when it comes to KyoAni

>Will it live up to the hype? Will it flop?
You tell me

>Not even while being a machine girl can she be left with wet clothes. As a change of clothes was necessary, she lay a bathrobe around her supposedly perfect body and headed for the bathroom. It had been a while since anyone other than Oscar regularly used it, so in a lapse of memory, he entered it without knocking and ended up seeing her while she was had not changed yet.

>“Ah, I’m sor… ry… eh?”

>He swallowed his breath due to perplexity.

>“EEEH?!”

>What was reflected in Oscar’s eyes was a sight more bewitchingly beautiful than any naked woman. Dripping golden hair. Beautiful blue orbs of a dimension that would not soften even within a painting. The finely-shaped lips just below them. A flesh body with a slender neck, an outstanding collarbone, plump breasts, and feminine curves.

>Her artificial arms consisted of metal rings from the shoulders to the fingertips. But it was only them. Despite the many scratches, other than the arms, the rest was surprisingly real skin. With that delicate body, she did not seem at all like a mechanical doll, but a relatively normal human being.

>With everything he had believed in until then being mantled over by the shocking revelation, Oscar tried to confirm what he was seeing many times.

>“Master.” Violet called with a voice that seemed to be judging him as he continued to ogle in astonishment.

>“UAAAAAAH! UAAAAAH! UAAAAAHAAAAAH!”

>Part of the outcome of that incident was Oscar’s screaming. The other was him half-crying while going beet-red, after having yelled on top of his lungs, frantically inquiring, “Are you human, after all?!”

>Wrapping a towel around herself, Violet plainly commented, “Master is, truly, a troublesome person.” Her cheeks were rose-dusted as she muttered, her face a little lowered.

>The study that was also a bedroom had Oscar’s previously worn clothes and a pan with leftovers from his last meal all over the floor in a disastrous fashion. Simply put, there had been no space for even one foot to step inside.

>Violet gazed at him with her big pupils. “You called me here with the place in this condition?” her eyes seemed to say.

>“I’m sorry…”

>It was clear that it was not a room someone would work in. Ever since he became alone, he had not used the living room, which was why it was still clean, but the bedroom he frequently entered and exited, the kitchen and the bathroom were in atrocious state.

>Oscar thought he was glad Violet was a mechanical doll. Her body age seemed to be from someone in her 10’s to her mid-20’s; he did not wish to show something so embarrassing to a real woman that young. Even though he was getting old, for a man, it was just deplorable.

>“Master, I’m a secretary, not a maid.” She said as she contradictorily pulled out of her bag a white frilly apron, willingly proceeding to tidy everything up.

>The first day was over just like that.

>On the second day, the two of them sat in the study and started their work. Oscar lay on his bed while Violet sat on a chair and used the typewriter on the desk.

>“She… said:” as Oscar dictated, a blind touch silently wrote down each letter with terrifying speed. He observed, thoroughly surprised. “Pretty… fast, huh.”

>Oscar had Violet put on clothes that imitated his main character and asked her if she could play around a little at the lakeshore. He had already made her do cleaning, laundry and other house chores, and on top of it, asked for such a favor. It was as if she was a factotum.

>Even as Violet was a percipient professional woman, she mused in surprise, “What a troublesome person…”

>"Your hair color…may be a little different, but it’s blond, just like my daughter was. If you put on a one-piece, surely…”

>“Master, I am but a secretary. An Auto-Memories Doll. I’m not your wife or concubine. Nor can I become a replacement.”

>“I-I know that. I wouldn’t have that kind of interest in a girl like you. It’s just… your appearance…if my daughter was alive, I think…she’d have grown into someone sort of like that.”

>Violet’s firm rejection crumbled at that.

>“I really did think you were being too stubborn…so your young lady has passed away?” she bit her lip lightly. Her face seemed to show her conscience was conflicted.

>During these few days, Oscar had become able to understand one thing about her. That is, how Violet would stick to what was considered ‘righteous’ when she was torn between good or bad things.

>“I’m an Auto-Memories Doll…I want to grant my clients’ wishes… but this one violates my work regulations…”

>She behaved as if she was inwardly wrestling with herself, and although Oscar felt bad for it, he tried one last time. “If you could build the image of the girl as a grown-up, coming back home, ready to fulfill her promise, my will to write will soon be revived. It’s true. If you want a reward, I can give anything. I can pay double your original price. This story is really precious to me. I want to finish writing it, and make it my life’s milestone. Please.”

>“But...I…am not a dress-up doll…”

>“Then I won’t take photos or anything of the sort.”

>“You had intended to?”

Saber clone a shit.

I was interested until I found out she isn't actually a robut.

The prose is better than most other LNs at least

When does it air ? MAL tells me it's already airing but I can't find any episodes.

I like protagonists who start from 0.

>Episode 1 was previewed at a screening at Anime Expo on July 2, 2017. Regular broadcasting will begin in January 2018.

Literally says it right there. MAL admins are retarded but apparently so are you.

polished turd

I made a mistake yes no need to be a dick about it.

>Her body age seemed to be from someone in her 10’s to her mid-20’s
wut

Glorious Kyoani writing

Who cares? I stopped watching anime now that I found Bach and Pergolesi. 2D cannot compete with cute boy voices:

Stop using MAL retard.
anidb.net is better in every way.

Truly a waifu unto the ages.

>LN
An Auto-Memories Doll of CH Postal Service, just like Violet. Her emotions are intense and passionate. Is the bearer of an intriguing and exceptional physical strength, but has a feminine sensibility and often takes on clients with love troubles. Is very fond of Hodgins and positively appealing, but the fact that she’s always brushed off is her current concern.
>Anime
An Auto-Memories Doll who works at CH Postal Service. Is a figurehead Doll who never stops being requested, and has had a close relationship with Hodgins even before she started working with him.

Why did KyoAni unslutify her?

Can't be worse than Hibike I suppose

It will be a master piece.

Hibike was good?

Hibike was bad?

>not using anilist

Hibike was so-so?

>very fond of Hodgins and positively appealing, but the fact that she’s always brushed off

>has had a close relationship with Hodgins even before she started working with him.

Sounds like the opposite

not bad but not good

bot nad gut nut bood?

Kyoani Saber. It'll be good by that alone.

>>>“But...I…am not a dress-up doll…”
>>“Then I won’t take photos or anything of the sort.”
>>“You had intended to?”
Picked the fuck up

Oscar probably won't make it into the anime, sorry man.

It'll be mediocre but it won't flop.

It will certainly flop.

He's right here my man

If that's what you've got to tell yourself.

That's a commercial for the LN. It's not from the anime

It will be in the anime regardless. His arc is in the first novel.

Oh well. Nothing will really be lost if it's taken out.

Just don't make up excuses when it eventually flops. These type of shows never do well.

Very unlikely.

It's Kyoani, You know it's gonna be good, It already looks better than everything this year.

Whydo people compare her to Saber?

How so?

I am just glad we got all the shitposting out of the way before the show even aired, so that we can have clean and thoughtful threads.

Why did the newest PV had such average animation? Weren't people hyping it up to be sakuga anime of the decade or some shit? It also had jarring CGI.

>Will it flop?
>cute white programmable girl in cute white land made by japan's favorite studio
Even if it somehow turns out to be the worst thing of the year, it still won't flop. Mathematical impossibility.

Anime with robots girls in them have flopped in recent memory like Plastic memories or Dimension w.

Average is undercutting it. Supposedly the PV didn't do the first two episodes justice, either.

Delete this

The sakugabooru faggot is just damage controlling. I saw episode 1 and it wasn't anything special. The animation is just slightly above the kyoani usual.

The Kyoani usual is certainly above average though. I haven't seen the episodes, I can only reference what others have said, both here and elsewhere on the internet. I hope it's good though.

Sure they are. But they are by no means the best. Kyoani is just consistent but their sakuga isn't as impressive as what we get from other studios.

You missed the crucial factors.

If it lives up to the hype, it flops. if it doesn't, 1,000,000 copies sold.

That's more a matter of taste. If you like other studios or animators better then good for you, don't make a difference to me.

It isn't a matter of taste. Industry legends have never worked for kyoani and none of their in-house staff can really compare except maybe for kigami

Whatever you say.

I will never get why kyoani fans get so defensive over stuff like this.

>the best animated TV anime of all time are Hyouka and Nichijou
>these so-called "industry legends" didn't work on them
>Kyoani did

Oh hmm really makes you think

Man, I'm not even a Kyoani fan. I just wanted to respond to the guy's comment on the PV. I'm not defending shit, if you want to measure studio dicks do it with someone else. Your agenda is tiresome.

Why is KyoAni rated so highly around here and whats the best anime produced by them?

K-On

>bathroom accident
Everytime

Kyoani has a really long history on Sup Forums going back over 10 years. Their shows are usually really popular and since they only have a couple each year it's always a big deal

I liked k-on a lot :)
The threads on Sup Forums are usually p comfy too

Lucky Star

1. They're an auteur studio with a recognizable style.
2. Several megahits and cult classics.
3. Production values are way above average.

Best anime is up to taste, I would recommend K-On, Nichijou and Koe no Katachi.

>the nu-kyoani fanbase

Nichishit is forced animation.

Nichijou seems fun, I just finished clannad:as so it would be nice to watch something a little more lighthearted

Thanks for letting me know.

Thay did many entry level shits

That or K-On would be a good watch then. Real easy going and fun shows, both with very endearing characters.

K-On seems a bit strange for me just because it's a music based anime so I'm not sure I'd enjoy that aspect too much

Nah, the bar to entry for K-On is super low. Would recommend to literally anyone.

Who is Kyoani's best director?

Yamada is the only one I really care about. But to me she's probably the best since Satoshi Kon.

>Will it live up to the hype?
Of course not. Say whatever you want about visuals but KyoAni never delivers good story/characters

Surely it's ishihara

Yamada.

Nah it's alright man, doesn't really get technical about the music. Unless if you just really don't like anime style jpop I think you'll be good

This

He directed Clannad so he automatically wins for me lol

163919974
>lol
Newshits keep coming.

>complaining about something this small
sorry for coming here

Kyaaa.

Pretty sure the translator didn't know what the word "teens" was.

>Will it live up to the hype?
People are hyped for this?
> Will it flop?
Of course it will.

People are always hyped for GodAni masterpieces.

You just wake from a coma or something?

When will Yui Ishikawa be cast as something other than an autistic robot?

She'll get more varied main roles when VEG is a success

Do what you're good at I say

The beat sakuga anime in the past 10 years is without a doubt Mob Psycho

KyoAni is good but they can never compete against Bones & Co. when it comes to sakuga. Reason being that they use their in-house staff to animate their shit, they're good but will never catch up to industry veterans such as Nakamura, Sato, Kameda, Naoki Kobayashi, Genichiro Abe, etc. KyoAni inhouse staff also lacks diversity in their style, they'll always lag behind good freelancers because they will never gain experience others get by working in different types of projects and environments.

It's sad but true.

>Will it live up to the hype?
What hype? No one cares about this trash, based Netflix for picking this up and making it irrelevant

>Will it flop

Of course. Every anime ever made flopped.
