It was awesome.

Needed more hedgehogs.

Probably the most mediocre film I have ever seen.
That's honestly a feat in itself.

this was a great way for them to meet up

It was great, but I'm glad I didn't go into it with any expectations. I feel like a lot of people here went into it expecting the best movie in the world and that fucked them up.

>Probably the most mediocre film I have ever seen.
No wait, Girl Who Leapt Through Time still has that title.
Your Name was either average or less than average in everything except for the backgrounds.

There were parts of the movie that I didn't enjoy but the artwork was frankly some of the best I've ever seen in anime and I really cared about both of the main characters

>that disappointment when he doesn't remember her

I sometimes pass hours imagining their dialogue after the spot where the movie ends

Not enough diversity. Taki was also pretty sexist the whole film, from objectifing his boss to groping Mitsuha's boobs everytime they changed places.

good meme my friend

I liked the part where Stonehenge failed to destroy Ulysses

>there is a nonzero chance this is what the American version will actually be like

jesus christ it's gonna be a fucking disaster

Pretty good film.

It's probably going to have nothing in common with the story of the anime though honestly.

We'll just have to see, my only hope is that the adaptation doesn't taint the name of the fantastic original

I watched it without knowing barely anything about it (i only knew about the body-swapping plot) and i was very surprised by how it's not limited to that gimmick at all. It's like a sci-fy romance or something, i loved it. Also, pic related hit straight into my heart and made a bunch of people at my screening cry, definetly my favorite scene in the movie.

Can anyone recommend a good sub for this?

95% chance it becomes a ghost project that never goes anywhere

The official BD ones are fine.

I've heard mixed opinions.

This.
He'll make it just as soon as he finishes that Half Life movie.

My anus puckered up when they both said ketai at the same time.

It doesn't really matter. No one who sees the shit adaptation and is unwilling to watch the original because of it would have never watched the original anyway.

These boys are right.
There's no need to worry.

Sappy horrible garbage. Put pictures in a filter and write some melodramatic love story and faggots will slurp it up like it's mommy's cooking

I nearly cried three times. And finally Shinkai wrote a happy end for once

the music was my favorite part, every time i hear zenzenzense i get feels. the song speaks to me and I don't even know the lyrics.

Fingers crossed.

Soundtrack was great, I usually hate j-rock but this was good.

I loved it too OP.

Nandemonaiya > Zenzensense > Sparkle > Dream Lantern

fuck im actually crying

user... Have you ever woken up from a really good dream? Have you ever felt yourself forgetting that dream more and more with every waking moment? Have you ever been absolutely convinced that there was something important you should be remembering? Have you ever told yourself "It's nothing", just to be able to move on? Have you ever sensed anything, a brief glimpse, a sound, a smell, that gave you a feeling of déjà vu? You remember feeling that sensation before, you know you do, but was it real or just a dream? Why do you hurt as if some piece of you is missing?

Really goddamn messy but really goddamn enjoyable. First it's about body-swapping, then it's about saving people from a meteor, then it's about time travel??? There's no reason the story should work - and it kind of doesn't - but the visuals and characters and music are so good that you can't help but like it.

the whole movie felt rushed
