Less cheap Chinese plastic garbage.

Oh no!

Do kids even play with toys anymore? Or do they just watch (((videos))) on mommy's iPhone?

First casualty in the US EU trade war

You mutts ready for round 2.

So ready

Yeah. Tablets have replaced toys. Sad, really.

Disney did this.

They play with toys but for all of 10 minutes before going back to the iPad. If you give your kid an iPad you're basically guaranteeing that you'll die without anyone to care for you since you're raising a psychopath.

But toys r us is poison xenoestrogen BPA covered crap, so whatever. Unfortunately, Amazon (cia) is even less stringent with what gets sold on their platform.. but whatever, in this brave new world you have to be smart or get fucked. Evolution is ramping up.

Apple litterally killed toys r us.
>t. E&E specialist and DS

F

So many good memories inside those stores.

Disney demands companies take a bunch of expensive toys that nobody wants.
Toy's R US is kill
No connection here. Move along.

Stephen Hawking died?
Where am I gonna buy my Buzz Lightyear from?
I see how these 2 are comparable..

It's better this way to be honest. My parents have probably spent thousands of dollars buying me and my sister toys as a kids while nowadays you just need to get them a tablet.

>implying toys r us is worth less than the wheelchair afficionado

Seriously, half the merchandise was Star Wars or Disney and the other half was LEGOs.
Goys-R-Us has been circling the bowl for decades.

Oh no; where will soyboys buy their Star Wars action figures now?

Sad reality is that kids don't really play with toys anymore. Too busy watching shit on their tablets and playing video games.

Just the way of the world nowadays.

Much like how Blockbuster died because people stopped renting DVD's and streamed movies instead.

Who's even fucking surprised at this? Anyone seen a kid recently? These little shitheads have had access to cuck porn at the age of 8 and 9, most of these tinny fucks are only concerned about buying hoverboards so they can remain fat while dabbing their way on two wheels to school so the teacher can tell them all about how he recently split open his dick like a banana boat because he always wanted to be a female teacher. Fuck you america and fuck you israel for fucking this planet up!!!!

>"why would Jews go to so much trouble to _____________?"

>nothing is any trouble when you can afford to tank an entire chain of department stores and manufacture millions of chinese star wars girls to push your kike agenda with just a week's worth of 'diversity' media-fuel

Playtime is important for a kid's mental development. Social and physical playing like in sports is especially beneficial. I'm not saying that all vidya is making kids dumb and autistic but it really doesn't help them either, especially starting from a young age.

This was going to happen eventually with or without a trade war, the beef between the EU and US was just a catalyst for that. Monopolies like Amazon and Disney are the main reason for retailers going out of business, won't be surprised if a major UK supermarket is next to go out of business, there's barely any need for them anymore.

Sad. I remember when I was a kid going to Toys R Us and purchasing a brand new toy was like the equivalent of Christmas.

Fuck this generation, man.

Attached: 1451426320290.jpg (353x375, 25K)

Good. To hell with all retail stores.

Amazon is killing shops. They are a scummy company but one that provides a good service

>scummy company

Jeff Bezos is like a real life Lex Luthor. Scumbag human being.

I think we are going to see a resurgence of mom and pop stores. The big boys will be Walmart for large chain stores and Amazon for online sales. Cities will be filled with privately owned brick and mortar places that can actually innovate and offer something other than a "large selection" as there main attracting point. These big companies that flop haven't changed their business models in decades. Its just like the video game industry. AAA games like CoD are getting pushed to the wayside by rando indie developers because they can actually do something different. The bigger you get, the harder it is to stand out.

They watch videos of kids playing toys.

tfw I work for this stupid company

wtf I love Pakistan now

no but working there certainly makes you feel like you have no identity

Bezos is a Jewish actor and Amazon is the CIA

Unironically this

This and kay bee toy store was the best when i was a kid in the 80s. RIP

TOY KEKING

WHAT THE FUCK NIGGER!?

Attached: Generational Punishment.png (768x510, 243K)

They killed the small town toyshop, they were killed themselves by a bigger creature.
So it goes.

What's wrong with American toy businesses. UK toy stores like Smyth's are making record profits.

Amazon actually employs anyone?

Is Amazon anywhere near as large there as it is here? Amazon is putting everyone out of business over here in the US.

Having kids myself I fully understand.
The toys today are made of shit! Cheap plastic. No point of articulation! Everything is made as junky as possible.
The 1980s was fucking KICK ASS. WTF is this shit?

I molested a kid in a toys r us bathroom

good times

Valve killed digital distribution
Amazon will kill with direct delivery
Robots will kill with automation
Communism will kill it all.

They filed for bankruptcy last year. Toys R Us has been dying for a long time.

yeah at their (((fulfillment))) centers

Someone has to stuff things into the dropoff lockers.

They're just going to rebrand as "SoysRus" without changing anything else.

Amazon isn't allowed to sell toys in the UK, you need a Toy licence to do that

Day of the megacorp is coming. We will be cyberpunk without the cool shit.

a license for everything that's the UK way

>being this delusional.

I took the nastiest shit of my life once in a Toys R Us.
Anyone wanna hear about how my aunt's taco salad made a kid throw up?

Toy license jfc Bongland

>NOOO MY SWEET,SWEET CHILD !

Attached: 1517997776114.jpg (990x990, 98K)

yeah, they ruined the city I live in and turned it into a big sterile corporate campus

Good riddance. Toys R US stores always smelled like stale body odor.

>toys r us.
>Disney did this.

Also Walmart which is now being jewed by the new Chinese slave factory interface known as Amazon which is literally dumping product at a loss to shut down competition just like Walmart before it

Actually I didn't bother turning up to my interview because they threatened to drug test me.

Attached: 1509146954249.gif (125x125, 18K)

How can you blame them ? Almost everything on t.v is absolute shit. I lurk /co. sometimes to see what the kids are watching and there's honestly nothing that would've interested me as a child 2bh. Just look at what they did to SW for example

Attached: 1481529213794.jpg (959x999, 366K)

Honestly the state of modern children makes me sick. I used to spend hours alone in my room building lego trucks and buildings, and in summer I'd go outside to make miniature construction sites and fashion bow and arrows from sticks, an I was only born in 1996.
Nowadays kids are staring into ipad screens hopping between cancerous app games and youtube videos every 5 minutes. Even at schools fucking tablets are used as teaching aids. Capitalism has gone too far.

If you grew up in the '90s and don't feel a little sad about this, you're not human.

I bought my Sega Genesis at a Toys R Us. One of the best moments of my childhood.

I think your partly correct but you're missing the elephant in the room, the internet economy.

Amazon for example have totally changed the game with their one-click, one-day delivery scheme, and high street retailers are being punished. Again, similar to how Netflix killed off Blockbuster with instant streaming.

I'd go as far to say there is less retail diversity now than there was a decade ago. The only places that seem to be thriving are fast food restaurants and gift/card shops.

Rarely see joke shops anymore, game stores are dead and every clothes store has 50% off sales just so they can actually get customers to walk in instead of just looking through the window.

Attached: Maybe he just really likes bowling.jpg (764x1024, 207K)

we're just heading towards the world from WALL-E

>fashion bow and arrows from sticks
You got a license for that, gov?

Even as a kid I quickly figured out I could change price tags at K-B.

I grew up in the '90s. I got an SNES and an N64 from Toys R US.. I don't feel sad for corporations that have failing business models.

10/10 post

Attached: 1520786910024.png (493x750, 275K)

I used to love getting toy guns from there as a kid, obviously we were never allowed real guns , but we had a lot of fun pretending to shoot each other for hours on end

Amazon is bigger than EU.

I've been expecting it to happen eventually for the past decade.

Even being an adult visiting Toys R US, I feel like they lost all of the attempt at trying to make toys exciting and it just fell into a drab boring standard corporate type store where nothing seems interesting and the prices aren't much better than Walmart.

based brother

Fwiw I have 4 kids, they have vidya but also play with actual toys, by themselves and with each other.

>Do kids even play with toys anymore?

It's been on a decline since the 1980's thanks to video games. Toys R Us has always made great deal of their revenue from Videogames.

This has nothing to do with Disney brainlet. This is all due to (((private equity))) fund (((KKR))) buying out toys r us in a leveraged buyout, piling on billions of dollars in subprime debt, trying to flip the business for a fat profit and failing.

thank you based Paki

Wait, actually, there still might be a glimmer of hope guys.

>A group of toy makers led by MGA Entertainment, the giant behind brands such as L.O.L. Surprise!, Little Tikes and Bratz on Wednesday submitted a bid to buy Toys R Us’s Canadian arm, which includes 82 stores, according to Isaac Larian, MGA’s chief executive. He added that he is also looking into buying as many as 400 U.S. stores, which he would seek to operate under the Toys R Us name.

“There is no toy business without Toys R Us,” Larian said, noting that he sold his first product to the chain in 1979. “It’s a big deal and I’m going to try to salvage as much of it as possible.”

Я.I.P.

You guys are fucking retards. The answer you're looking for is "video games." Video games replaced toys. Morons.

Toys r us UK is closing down as well, Amazon and the internet in general has hurt a lot of retailers

but that's only canada user :'(

Play time is over, kid. Just be thankful that you grew up in a time when we had the illusion of freedom.

Strange child? I just got drunk, smoked weed and rode/drove unlicensed vehicles in fields.
Each to their own though.

>L.O.L. Surprise!
What the fuck even is this?

>This is all due to (((private equity))) fund (((KKR))) buying out toys r us in a leveraged buyout, piling on billions of dollars in subprime debt, trying to flip the business for a fat profit and failing.

Don't worry though, the people responsible still made money betting against the company using insider trading.

Best part about high level capitalism is that it's impossible to lose.

Don't be jive, have a licence before you drive! So don't worry and bin that lorry!

My 7 year old started doing this. Would just spend hours watching other kids play with toys on the iPad.
I shut that shit down immediately. She's only allowed to use educational apps on the pad, is only allowed 2 hours of iPad a week, and is a normal kid again.
New tech fucks kids up. It's made to totally seize all sensory inputs and just jack directly into kid's dopamine responses.
Far worse than the old console games. As bad as drugs, IMO (works on the brain chemistry the same way).

>I just got drunk, smoked weed and rode/drove unlicensed vehicles in fields.

I grew up in London, I'm not a rural and suburban retard like you. Though I always wanted to drive a quad bike or field car around a farm.

>Rarely see joke shops anymore, game stores are dead
it depends on what's on sale, really

In all honesty who gives a flying fuck outside of 'm-muh childhood" how many of you actually been to a Toys R Us in the past decade?

this to be quite honest

>you will never go inside ToysRUs again, grab that toy you really want and be summarily told to put it back
>only to find it under your Christmas tree later on in the year

Attached: 1520139862668.jpg (500x498, 75K)

Did many Brits hand in their guns during the ban? In Australia apparently it was mostly air guns and single shot .22s and shot guns that were handed in 600000 of them, makes me wonder where the guns actually went? Maybe the boomers weren't as cucked as we think

Meh, I was drunk and high at the time so I'd have been in trouble if I got caught anyway.

Based pakistan

I'm sensing you have no children of your own.

good parenting desu

But now they've forgotten where they buried them.

Given that Transformers have been run into the ground and now Disney-era Star Wars and Marvel (which are also being used to promote cultural bolshevism) there is pretty much no reason to go there anymore
