why do you people like this poorly written chuuni shit?
>those fight scenes
because I like chuuni stuff with godtier world building?
You can't just throw accusations like that without backing them up in some way.
The same reason why people watch prisma and play grand order, it's a fetish, it's all about getting that orgasm, if you watch the shows you're self inserting, or fapping to the waifus and husbandos. that's it, only the super audistics care about the actual lore that constantly contradicts itself.
99% anime is chuuni shit
I just can't think ill of True Assassin after reading FGO. I just can't, he is a great guy.
Chuuni is gentleman's genre
Nice. BDs fucking when?
>Cu chulainn fights in a highway pursuing a truck
What a shitfest of a movie.
HOOGU
ZABANIYA
He was based in HF too though
>best scene in movie according to japs
>shitfest
(You)
Honestly all I care about is zerofags crying about Gilgamesh
>muh jap overlords said a thing if you don't agree you're baiting xDD (You)
Kill yourself moron, a highway pursuit makes no sense in Fate setting, it's stupid and only secondary zeroshitters would think it's a good idea because they only care about powerlevels
Not quite, they said it was cool but needlessly long.
>"secondary zeroshitters" out of nowhere
>xDD
Bait harder please.
It's Ufotable fanboys.
>Lancer's thrown gae bolg is supposed to turn into thousands of thorns that pierce entire armies
>ror it's nuke :^)
>Saber is supposed to be BTFO by Berserker
>ror invisibre air stronk my beutifurr waifu Seiba
I don't care really, ufotable always goes for the rule of cool.
>highway pursuit makes no sense in Fate setting
What?
>Lancer's thrown gae bolg is supposed to turn into thousands of thorns that pierce entire armies
Extella did it
Only zeroshitters think these fights in presence of the entire city make sense because they saw bluebeard fighting against japanese airforce
It's not cool, it just turns the whole thing into a mindless shonen manga that makes no sense
>FGO baby didn't realize how great True Assassin is in HF
Fuck off to /vg/. He's the most loyal Servant who just wants to be remembered. Takes out far stronger enemies with actual tactics. Doesn't hold a grudge for Kirei or deal a killing blow when he was already leaking mud anyway. Has genuinely spooky moments at the start and when he invades Shirou's house. If you needed Camelot, which directly and overtly paints him as sympathetic, to realize how great he is, you should stick to mobage trash.
What's the thing at 0:16 after Berserker does his flips? There's some kind of explosion but what is it underneath it?
Fight scenes are hardly taken seriously in the source material itself. The Fate route had that ridiculous fight between Saber and Rider on the side of a building.
calm down bro it's just an anime wwww
>Aimer
When will this meme end, so bad and it's always the same kind of song.
>zeroshitters
Why highway pursuit makes no sense in Fate setting? Answer me without your childish fanbase war
Medea
this is the worst shitposting I've seen
There was literally nobody around.
Because it's full of people and it doesn't happen in the VN
Not him but this is easily her worst song in an anime so far.
>not him
>same jpop trash
>screams
>loses air and keeps singing like she's dying
>generic lyrics
every single time
>Because it's full of people
And?
>it doesn't happen in the VN
And? Movie adaptation is supervised by Nasu
>/vg/ reaction image
>can't accept other opinions
Sasuga. You need to go back.
Is it supposed to be the but where Zouken uses Medea as a puppet? Even then I don't remember I big explosion going off there.
>not anal
Looks like /fgog/ shitposters invaded all Fate threads.
Ufotable doesn't care, everyone shoots nukes and ridiculous shit that's not in the vn.
Your affirmation is wrong. You can't like Fate and not play FGO, simple as that. You can deny its expansive universe and the newest addition to the franchise. Otherwise you're just a casual.
Miura ruined Fate again. Sasuga Ufotable!
Miura got fired from the HF movies
>loses to a fucking fake priest
Into the trash he goes. Along with all the other losers who lose to japanese teenagers.
I talk about /fgog /shitposters. Not about FGO itself. /fgog/ shitposters are subhumans who baiting in all fate threads
Miura did action storyboards for HF.
You can play FGO without loving it, or agreeing that it's one of the best things to come out of TM, or posting in its shithole general, or bringing up GO garbage in Sup Forums threads.
Which is fine, because the action scenes in UBW were really good.
He just fucked up all the other important scenes.
How many people died in highway pursuit?
I was fine with his role in UBW, but storyboarding action is his greatest strength so I'm glad he's focusing on action for the HF movies.
6 gorillion
Because nobody worth a dime likes Fate, they like Fate/Stay Night
Fate/Zero is objectively better than Fate/Stay Night
Even if you're a Zerofag who actually believes that, Fate/Zero is directly and 100% related to Fate/stay night in every possible way.
You're not invested in the Fate "brand", or necessarily interested in seeing anything that has Servantshit in it. You're invested in the Holy Grail Wars of Fuyuki City that deal with heroism, ideals, and generally have a dark atmosphere that's closer to Nasu's old works (which Urobuchi is naturally suited for).
Eternal reminder:
>Uro: Unlike Fate/Zero, where all the main characters are older, this one has lots of cute heroines! Fate/stay night was originally conceptualized as a bishojo game, so the very individual theme of "romance" was placed at the core. It had to be written from Shirou's point of view. So then I thought, I have this really powerful core idea of all these Eiyuu (heroic spirits) engaged in a Battle Royale, so why not draw their story from multiple point of views? That's why I tried to work more main characters into Fate/Zero other than simply Kiritsugu and Kirei.
>Nasu: I had no other choice but to make Fate/stay night the way I did for that bishojo game format. That was one of the reasons why I once said to Urobuchi, "I don't think I can make bishojo games anymore." The more you pour both what the author wants to draw and romance elements that will excite the users into a work, the more distant they get from each other... that was my dilemma. I think Fate/stay night does lack that "battle royale" atmosphere, but I really wanted to make it a work that would make the users want to get to know Saber and Rin better, or cuddle with Sakura.
Let's not pretend FSN is a literary masterpiece that towers above the rest of the so-called "fate brand". I mean come on, it started as an eroge for fuck's sake. Pandering is built into it, Fate GO is a perfectly logical extension of certain aspects of Fate Stay Night
fatestaynightusa.com
Remember to go root for your waifu in theatres, Amerifags.
>FSN is a literary masterpiece
It is.
It also gives up nearly all of the other aspects that actually made it good, and lets the pandering far outweight everything else, even seeping into the main story far more often and harshly than the h-scenes in F/SN. The very existence of the self-insert protag is a direct downgrade.
You can complain about heroines and routes all you want, but VNs are still a far better storytelling medium than a fucking mobile cheap. GO is a "natural extension" of all its worse aspects, with very little of the good, while pandering to people who just want Servants more than anything (literally the opposite of what FSN did with its premise). Which is why it's fucking garbage.
>t.someone who's never opened a book in his life
I've read YA with better storytelling than FSN
>same baits from archive
>again

And yes, Fate/stay night does tower above the rest of the Fate franchise, even though it's no masterpiece. Its only competition within Type-Moon are Nasu's other non-Fate works.
We're talking about japanese media and Fate/stay night is considered a masterpiece. You can explain yourself and your points all you want, it's valid, but the success and aclamation it got at release (2004) and how things are now speak for itself. It's like saying Madoka isn't a masterpiece because you don't like it, the same with Eva and Utena. I'm not strictly saying that "popular = good", but these shows set the tone for the industry as a whole for a reason.
Fate/GO is shit.
It's weird to say it, but Zabaniya looks overly animated. Like Gae Bolg in UBW.
There's this from the previous trailer though.
UBW Gae Bolg is 100% true to Gae Bolg in HA.
Zabaniya range is ~10 meters. How it supposed to looks like in your imagination?
Meaning a sequence of convoluted and inconsistent asspulls Nasu made up on the spot to justify his shitty shounen plot developments?
>YOUR ACCOUNT IS MINE.webm
Hate to see that CGI in there
>If you needed Camelot, which directly and overtly paints him as sympathetic, to realize how great he is, you should stick to mobage trash.
Camelot only made him a cooler character than he already was, he is a loyal servant and the way he deals with Tristan is amazing.
It's the future of animation and Ufotable is a progressive studio.
The Zabaniya from OP's trailer is probably when he uses it against Saber
>CGI
>animation
These are different things. CGI is still 20 years away from actually looking like anime.
Nope. He's clearly fighting Lancer there. So this webm must be against Saber.
It was cool, and made his cursed arm even cooler. Part of the reason Camelot is still the most salvageable thing about GO trash.
That's not the point of that post though, GOfags who completely ignored his character in HF and need to be spoonfed that "he was actually a nice guy who cared about his people and gave up his humanity" should just die.
>Even if you're a Zerofag who actually believes that, Fate/Zero is directly and 100% related to Fate/stay night in every possible way.
Zero is FSN by a much, much better writer
Eva is pretentious garbage for autists and so is FSN
That was pretty obvious in HF, you're just overreacting to people that said he was cooler in FGO. Of course he was cooler, he was siding with "the good guys" after all, so he got more scenes to shine.
>even seeping into the main story far more often and harshly than the h-scenes in F/SN
How is that possible?
>Fate/Zero is directly and 100% related to Fate/stay night
ummmm...
- Zero is a failed retelling of the happenings as described in the VN. As we know, Kiritsugu was the absolute utilitarian. Him joining the HGW, he would sacrifice anything for result, for the absolute utilitarian ideal, saving everyone, meaning anyone would be sacrificed for that end. So when he does things like evacuating people before setting off a bomb, when he always kills people you are given a reason to hate, but never a single one you might find a reason to like, then I just think they went too soft on him to preserve the image of a hero.
- Fate route Saber has great character progression and caratherization. FZ Saber is a fucking human toilet for everyone to shit on.
- Urobuchi tried to follow too many different characters/plot threads in the first half; in particular, too much of the plot is dictated by Caster's action, and Caster is a totally uninteresting character who is better at being comic relief than a serious threat.
- The banquet of kings was utterly ridiculous and the only thing it did was pretend that the guy whose definition of "king" was "winner of popularity contest among warriors" had anything to discuss with characters who actually had anything to do with ruling. It was a clumsy attempt for Urobuchi to pretend Iskander was one of the "kings" and that he had any plan or vision whatsoever beyond doing whatever he wanted and hoping other people would post-hoc make it a good thing. Gilgamesh and Arturia actually argue against each others' vision of what a king does in FSN whereas the banquet's only resolution is Iskander going "well I was more popular so I win."
It's still animation, you blithering retard.
Have you read a single chapter of FGO?
Hell, have you read Fate/stay night, where the h-scenes are incredibly sparse and at least fit the tone in Heaven's Feel?
What? He absolutely wasn't. Do you think it's "cooler" to follow the standard shounen trope of "go on ahead, we'll hold off this bad guy", instead of him actually being a great assassin and a mysterious enemy who plays dirty? That's exactly what I'm talking about, people who need a character to be very blatantly sympathetic and on "your" side to appreciate him.
>So when he does things like evacuating people before setting off a bomb, when he always kills people you are given a reason to hate, but never a single one you might find a reason to like, then I just think they went too soft on him to preserve the image of a hero.
He exploited Saber's chivalry and Keyneth's love for his wife to trick Lancer into killing himself. They could have gone heavier, true, but the moral conflict of his character was covered very thoroughly there.
>- Fate route Saber has great character progression and caratherization. FZ Saber is a fucking human toilet for everyone to shit on.
Saber's character development in FSN is more developed, and better. True. However if they'd tried to match than in Zero it would have broken continuity. Zero is a prequel. Saber was given fine character development in Zero. Her arc was interesting and engaging. I wish they'd done more with Lancelot instead of wasting all that time on Team Caster
Nasu was exploring all of F/SN's themes except for its core one (what it means to be a hero) and plenty others in Kara no Kyoukai and Tsukihime long before, largely because the Nasuverse is founded on principle philosophical conceits that are consistent throughout Nasu's works. Souren Araya's motivation ties into Kiritsugu's/EMIYA's suppositions about saving people long before Fate ever came to be.
Most of his characters are variations of his previous writings. He mashes them together to create something new or tries to flash out a character he thought had bigger potential. Story themes and overall plot often mirrors something he wrote in the past too. He often has mono no aware present in his works. Originally he was inspired by Evangelion which shows in his works starting from Mahoyo and Angel Notes. Nowadays he doesn't even bother anymore since Fate allows him to reuse characters left and right.
Shirou ties back to Enjou Tomoe.
Rin is Misaya is Azaka is the haughty tsundere
Sakura is Fujino is the rape victim.
Kotomine is Araya is Nrvnqsr is the stern intellectual antagonist voiced by Jouji Nakata.
Gilgamesh is Alba is Roa is the extremely powerful but arrogant antagonist.
Kerry, Daisuke and Gun God.
Kotomine works with Gil and they're bros, Araya works with Alba (once upon a time they were probably bros), and Nrvnqsr and Roa are bros, too.
Tamamo is Kohaku.
Matthew is FSN stray servant + White Sakura from Fate Extra.
Underestimated Shiki/Zelretch/Shirou so Nero/Crimson Moon/Gilgamesh got his ass handed despite he normally being super strong I swear guise
And so on. Routes, stories and their themes can also be compared like that. Even just the beginning of SN and Tsukihime were taken from KnK Hollow Shrine.
Woaaah user, that sure disproved the fact that Zero is an alt universe direct prequel to the actual story of FSN, rather than a Servant wank fest with FSN cameos and fanservice that builds on some of Saber's lore (who is only relevant in 1 of 3 FSN routes)-
>let me quote something unrelated to my post to make an useless point

>- Urobuchi tried to follow too many different characters/plot threads in the first half; in particular, too much of the plot is dictated by Caster's action, and Caster is a totally uninteresting character who is better at being comic relief than a serious threat.
Completely agree. Team Caster is a huge drain on Zero. I don't know what Uro was thinking. Big fuckup, there. Story would have been so much better without it. Take some time to flesh out other characters more. Jesus, is the public's attention span that bad?
>Saber was given fine character development in Zero.
>this thread
3d animation is not 2d animation. Pixar is not anime. Fuck you
Just because he likes to make little girls cry doesn't mean he's deep or complex.
Nasu > Urobuchi
Man, Fate/Zero really was a fucking mistake.
>self-inserting into a sword fetishist
I hope you don't actually do this.
You literally can't have a thread without zero shitters ruining the discussion. What a shame.
>- The banquet of kings was utterly ridiculous and the only thing it did was pretend that the guy whose definition of "king" was "winner of popularity contest among warriors" had anything to discuss with characters who actually had anything to do with ruling. I felt like the philosophy behind it was reaching, myself. But it was plenty interesting, unlike the plethora of logical inconsistencies in highschool/stay night
