The second episode came along and extinguished every last smoldering ember of the show's goodwill with what essentially amounts to a prolonged showcase of torture porn. A genuinely well-written or well-directed sequence in anime, or in any medium, can make you uncomfortable. It can be done for dramatic effect, as Re:Zero was capable of pulling off numerous times, or for comedic effect, drawing upon a title such as Prison School, as an example.

Inuyashiki's second episode is a far cry from either of those things. It's schlock, plain and simple, meant to shock and disgust the viewer in place of providing anything in the vein of actually compelling content. There's nothing deep or meaningful about any of the scenes which play out over the duration of the episode, but merely a psychotic refrain that I can only imagine is meant to appeal to those who share a number of traits with the middle school kids we see in the premiere episode.

Please, to any even halfway-intelligent reader, don't confuse what this second episode wound up being - torture porn - for something actually resembling a meaningful psychological drama.

Inuyashiki is a very real character. He has an ordinary job, a shit family, is struggling with his life and now his entire life has been turned upside down by what's happened to him.

In Gantz Hiroya Oku was desperate to show a "mature" result by involving needless sex.
He matured as a writer a little bit in Inuyashiki, he's trying to show that a great power given to someone can a blessing or a curse depending on the target.
What I disagree with, is his idea that a person who suffered has more chances to become good while a person who had an easier life has more chances to behave like a villain.
This is far too simplistic thinking, even for a manga.

I think censorship is more of a problem for the gaming industry than the anime industry really. So many Japanese games get butchered in their localizations.
