The 3 movies are just theatrical early screenings of the first 6 episodes of S2 and they are an adaptation of the WaSuYu LN. Episode 7 will be a recap of S1 and episodes 8 through 13 are going to be a proper sequel of S2.

Fuuuuck. So we really do have to wait an extra week for actual new story content. Why are they doing this? Especially since they already sold WaSuYu BDs, this seems like a really poor business decision.

Because it's been three years since the anime aired, most people have probably forgotten half of the plot by now. Heroes' Chapter is supposed to continue right where S1 left off, so it will probably be necessary to know what happened in the final episodes in order to understand what's going on.

Plus there'll be people who didn't watch S1 and just jumped in with WaSuYu. Can't have them go straight to Yuusha no Shou without knowing what happened in-between.

It will probably adapt sonoko after too so itll be worth the watch

I know, and I'm saying you can't expect everyone to have watched the first season. Especially the target audience in Japan can't just pirate anime whenever they want, but actually has to catch the TV broadcasts. Plus, it's not like we are being robbed of any new content, if anything we're actually getting more material since the recap episode will most likely have a new voiceover.

Using up half the season to rebroadcast WaSuYu with no changes except a different OP theme, plus an additional episode that's just a recap, is indeed robbing potential episode slots of new story material. I'm very appreciative of all the side content such as the LNs and mobage, but I just wish the full season was dedicated to new anime content, that's all.

Not really, since that spoils the effects of Mankai. Season 1 loses a lot of its impact that way.

Pleaseee someone tell me the order of which to watch/read the series! Is it all completely translated? I really love this show, but I haven't read any of it. All the YuYuYu and WaSuYu, and NoWaYu admittedly gets a bit confusing to fully understand each series and exactly how and where they intersect and interact with the other series.
