God that episode was bad. Next episode looks like it could be decent, but if they needed an episode to build up to it, they could've at least focused on other characters while this fight went on.

I think Goku's comment about Caulifla's power was relative to what she was at the start of the battle royale. She's gained strength in 20 minutes to what took goku years. He recognises she has immense potential, and can easily attain the god forms with correct training.

No, she has the controlled form, which was what she used at the beginning of the fight. The full-power form comes with a loss of humanity, hence the pupils

I was mainly thinking about him commenting on the unbelievable power inside him causing him to turn SSJ3. He also did a power-up yell to get to SSJ2, which could be him being tired, but he turns into god mode in literally less than a second. I don't know why they made it look like this is a big thing for him.

I get the surprise with her skill, but Krillin comments in amazement of the power of two SSJ2s fighting each other. And I have no idea what the power scales are supposed to be at this point, but I think (?) Krillin got to at least SSJ2 power in one of the episodes before the tournament.

there are literally zero redeeming qualities to the audience's presence in this entire arc. They are there because reusing the same sideways angle of some baldies getting confused and two cats bitching at each other for 10 minutes is cheaper than actually making a 20 minute episode

When she walks up to goku she's on her Broly form though, Goku even asks if she's alright like that and Caulifla confirms that she has it under control, and the she transforms back right after

That moment when Whis starts to comment on the Ultra Instinct and you think something useful's finally going to come from the commentary in the peanut gallery, but then he just repeats the same thing we already knew about it, that it's hard to do.

I'm one of the many Gohanfags who don't actively voice my hatred for Caulifla or Kale, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Since they've appeared on the show, they have stolen the spotlight that rightfully belonged to Gohan. Before then, Toei and Toriyama have both hinted at Gohan achieving a new form that surpasses his Ultimate one. But it seems as though they've dropped this for some unknown reason and it infuriates me to the point where it causes me to have mood swings which ultimately effect my personal life. It doesn't help that I come unto these threads and see the constant trolling that's done against Gohan's character by multiple posters, including the Caulifla fans. I know it's bait and all and I should ignore it, but I can't. I genuinely can't. I always attempt to respond to them with reasoning, but they immediately shut me down which angers me further. It made me take a two month break from this site.

In that time, I rewatched some of my favorite Gohan episodes from both Z and Super. From his filler episodes whilst training with Piccolo, to the last filler episode in Super where Gohan fought that one blonde actor dude. It calmed me down, but alas, once I returned to Sup Forums, my despair returned.

I grew a connection with the character unlike any other. I typically self inserted as Gohan, and would and still do feel that I am the character spiritually. This might sound autistic but I can't help but feel as though Toriyama had written Gohan for me. He was the reason why I aimed for higher grades in school. I was pushed around, like Gohan, but inside I had a dormant power that caused me to lash out and overpower my enemies.

But I digress. What Toei and Toriyama have done to Gohan has been completely unacceptable. Purposely setting up for a return of the greatest character in this franchise only to have him sidelined for these Universe 6 Saiyans.

Don't forget:
>each fight is ATATATATATA
>if a character is weak, they will get one or maybe two techniques that are supposed to put them on par with Goku (see Trio de Dangers)
>strong characters do not get any named techniques (see Kale and Caulifla)

Beerus, whis and champa had way too much fucking screen time this episode. They really needed to shut up.

they are amazed because the last time they saw an ss2 fight it was future trunks vs goku, and both goku and caulifla are way more powerful in ss2 right now than trunks was then. i they'd seen trunks's fighting in the future after being trained by vegeta some more they wouldn't be so surprised.
