Haikyuu

...

Ippo and Slam Dunk

...

go back to r/anime newfags

HOW DARE YOU ENJOY THINGS?????

Meguru

Slam dunk is the correct answer

>sports anime
>ever

Touch

Shamo and Kokou no Hito.

Rookies

It had everything man, It's a shame we'll never get to see nationals adapted.

Just rewatched Bamboo Blade. The matches aren't particularly interesting, but all the characters are entertaining, the voice cast is great, and the production values are decent.

There is no competition.

Eyeshield 21

Kokou no Hito

...

These, Yowamushi Pedal and Ballroom.

Chihayafuru

You are a gentleman and a scholar and also my nigga.

Teppuu
>Anime never

Nobody remembers Moshidora probably because it's actually a business anime

I liked Eyeshield 21.

One Outs

I couldn't get enough of Natsuo.

>mfw the manga All-Rounder Meguru is itself an all-rounder among manga

Inazuma Eleven
...

youtube.com/watch?v=CslIi6gujgw

I'm still amazed how its soundtrack managed to be that good.

youtube.com/watch?v=IpfJrqxsyJ0

So fucking good

Free or Yuri on ice

youtube.com/watch?v=24GoHwX5uQg

Cross Game.

Sports anime are mediocre as fuck. Ping pong puts that in perspective nicely.

ma niggah

Slam Dunk and Ace of Diamond too

Keijo

Eyeshield 21, one outs, slam dunk and ballroom are the superior choices

whats the name of that one baseball anime I always hear people harp on about?

The hero (and the true best sports anime) appears!!

There's a bunch. Slam Dunk, Kuroko no Basuke, that one with the lolis...

this

suzuka, slam dunk, yowamushi and eyeshit 21 are the true sports anime that actually have sports in it.

he asked about baseball anime, not basketball anime

classic fujos

Ping Pong, Haikyuu, and Eyeshield 21.

whoops
I guess I'm retarded and illiterate.

One outs.

Kuroko.

This
There's nobody quite like my boy Hiruma

...

What if you had to order sports anime based on how fujoshit they are?

REAL / NOT FUJO --> FUJOSHIT

Ashita no Joe
Hajime no Ippo
Cross Game
Slam Dunk
Baby Steps
One Outs
Major
Eyeshield 21
Ookiku
Haikyuu
Kuroko
Free

Eyeshield 21 and Takkyu musume,

been meaning to watch this, is it good?

Fuck

Aim for the Ace.
Also these. Aoba is cute.

It's shit compared to actually good sports anime, like Slam Dunk, Major, Cross Game or Ashita no Joe.
It's ok if you are not trying to compare it to classics.

inazuma eleven, only with skill upgrades

no stand, armor , spirit animal or oversoul stuff.

It's okay. Obligatory romance is decent and actually progresses, no screaming of special attacks, everything fairly basic. Not all that enthralling, though.

One outs

Ping pong (het edition)

Patrician taste.

Diamond no Ace, maybe?

Hands down Oofuri.

The baseball arc of Cobra.

Fuck yeah.
I watch or read the manga every other year.

Love theses ones too

This thread is overflowing with good taste

does it count

Chihayafuru
Cross Game

Princess Nine also deserves attention, really good.

I genuinely enjoy Baby Steps

Inazuma Eleven

Fucking love Rookies but i still have to finish it!

Chihayafuru, just finished watching the first movie and it was surprisingly good.

Major and Chihaya-furu are definitely my favorites.

Kuroko Last Game 720p with good subs when?

Eyeshield 21, Ippo

Anything football related, really.
Nothing better on a Sunday afternoon than watching some nice games, unless they're rigged.

Post the water bottle. You know what I'm talking about

More of an SoL but you can feel Adachi's love for baseball in every manga he writes.

The anime is better though

Any Days man in?

The manga is pretty decent despite its flaws. It's actually refreshing to see the protagonists have an OP player in the team instead of the classic "plucky underdogs win the championship" storyline

Giant Killing is also decent as far as football anime/manga go but the manager is kind of autistic.

>water bottle
Eeeeeeeeh? I only know this one, and it's probably not what you're talking about.

Kuroko's Basketball

That would be a double whammy if somebody pissed in his gatorade

>Adachi's stuff is all good actually.

I loved these because they didn't get bogged down in the technical details and were more about the people doing the sports than the sport itself.
The constant play-by-play stuff in an average sports manga gets boring pretty quick.

Kuroko when I am in the mood for shonen stuff. Ping Pong at all other times.

This one

ZERO (0) SAVES

>All these Chihayafuru fans

Taichi best boy

I've been thinking of rewatching it too. I remember it being super comfy and fun. youtube.com/watch?v=PWkUWL8wFmM

>tfw he'll never win

>"plucky underdogs win the championship"
Nothing beats this, even if it's an old trope, sorry user. Also the mc in that one is a big fag.

rookies

such a good read

>Slam Dunk
>Ashita no Joe
>Ping Pong
>YOI
>One Outs
>Cross Game
>Rookies

I can't really be fucked with series like Haikyuu, DnA, Oofuri, Yowapeda, etc anymore. They were entertaining for a while, but they get so repetitive. I like series that are heavily mixed with another genre (obviously drama, romance, gambling based on the above), pure sports alone is hard to pull off, especially in highschool, because it's just tedious match after match after match.

I really like Ace of the Diamond because it's focused on the sport and no bad unnecessary drama

The worst.

Keijo/Saki/Akagi

Slam Dunk
Kuroko's Basketball
Ace of Diamond
Shoot

You're a person of culture too, I see.
