Obviously she's no longer going to have a large role in the series, but it would still be nice to see snippets of her life in jail or maybe her journey in search of a cure for Wagandea's curse.

How so? The only major gripes I can think of is that Lotte and Sucy just get resigned to background roles after the mid-season finale. And the macro-plot of reviving the world's magical power feels like an uninspired JRPG plot.

But that just seemed like the writers not feeling confident that they could keep a low-stakes SoL witch show going for a full season. The witchy shenanigans that make up the majority of the show are still great, and in general it's miles above the average trash that gets celebrated.

Akko a cute. She does get a bit bitchy sometimes, but well, those are flaws. Decent characters should have them.

Those are still thoroughly entertaining episodes, though. Especially episode 16, since we get to meet Lotte's adorable family, and see Akko teach a sad yeti how to handle internet bullies.

There's really not a bad episode in the whole show.

Andrew and Akko seems like the kind of couple that could potentially blossom after the two of them mature a bit. Akko's fiery passion and individualism pushes Andrew to be more self-critical and assertive toward his father/peers. Andrew's stoicism provides some balance to Akko's explosive personality, plus there seems to be a pretty natural teamwork between the two when shit gets real.

It's not as exciting or scandalous as Akko getting into one of her classmates' skirts, and even feels a tad cliche. And I like that the show hasn't pushed it much, since it doesn't seem in character for either of them to fall suddenly head-over-heels for someone they barely know.
