Nanoha

Subaru and Teana should've been the real protagonists to carry on the Nanoha series.

Vivio could still stay as the protagonist, but I wouldn't have minded more Subaru and Teana

I WANT TO LICK THEIR ANUSES

Tea and Subaru were pretty much being set up to do just that with StrikerS, but nanoha fans cried so hard that there weren't any lolis anymore they dropped Subaru and Tea in favor of a new group of lolis. The most hilarious thing about that whole situation, though? The newfangled group of brawler lolis fight by using devices which artificially age them up, completely missing the point of what the nanoha lolipedos were crying about when Nanoha and Feito had become (Old, marked for Deletion.) It's like they were missing the point intentionally.

Fuu-chan and her wife Rinne are pretty good, tough, unlike Nanoha and Feito's fairly boring daughter Vivio. Fuu-chan is the kind of plucky heroic underdog hobo streetfighter that deserves to be gifted with the power to befriend through her fists.

Yes I agree

They could've had Vivio as a third protagonist along with Subaru and Teana to satisfy the lolifags. The fact they got dropped out of relevance really hurt the series I think.

there were also Caro and Erio who are "oh yeah they existed too." Not even lolirider remembers them anymore because she got too busy bein' genki and running the onsen + military training grounds with momma.

This. They had this "Kyosuke & Excellen" vibe that makes them really cool.

StrikerS movie when?

They already tried that.
They also tried it with Force.

It failed, as new protagonists are not as meme-worthy as Nanoha. So they always had to bring her back.

I bet Subaru's anus is sweaty as fuck

That is ideal.

But nobody liked them, just like how nobody liked Vivio, just like how nobody liked that new girl

Subaru seems to be pretty well liked among most.

I'm still salty that no StrikerS movies were ever made and at this point never will be because the fandom loves loli Nanoha so much.

>But nobody liked them
Teana is my favourite character in the franchise and Subaru is involved with my favourite moment in the franchise.
On the contrary, I never liked Nanoha the person until Strikers where she finally got some personality

Agreed 100%. The Subaru and Teana season is what I was really looking forward to when StrikerS ended.

Shame that's basically shot.

Could happen.

...

I don't see Halloween Nanohas very often. Thanks.

>I never liked Nanoha the person until Strikers where she finally got some personality
This. StrikerS was when Nanoha herself was the best.

It's ironic, really. The season where Nanoha isn't the main protagonist is the season where Nanoha finally gets a personal stake in the conflict and isn't in it just because she felt like it.

Yeah personally the part of the reason why I think StrikerS was the peak of Nanoha, despite popular opinion saying that A's was the best.

What are you even on about? I watched the Strikers for Subaru first and foremost.

What about Teana?

I want Fate to bite me

Teana was alright.

I'm glad someone else shares that feeling. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed S1 and A's and I fully recognise StrikerS' faults (the gadget drones that bogged the fight choreography down when there weren't Numbers to fight and the fact the antagonists were generally not that fantastic compared to A's), but StrikerS really hit all of the spots with the protagonist cast for me.

Same here user. StrikerS has its fair share of problems but the main cast really resonated with me more than previously, and Nanoha finally developing a personality really helped with that. It's honestly sad to see StrikerS seen as what many people would say is when Nanoha started going downhill.

Fucking this. StrikerS isn't as bad as many people point out it to be. It's got a flaws sure, but it's not that bad.

Vivid is when it went down hill.

It got its reputation largely from the first half being nothing short of complete garbage.

>SoL with a cast that's not really lively enough to be at the center of SoL
>boring fights
>There's totally action and plot coming later guys! Look, here's foreshadowing! And here's some more! What could be coming? Aren't you excited? Have some more foreshadowing instead of the thing that you're supposed to be looking forward to!
>This is what you came here for, right? 12+ goddamn episodes of this boring shit?

It doesn't help that the sub group slowed to a crawl the moment that things got hype.

Continuing with this, for whatever fucking reason, they put all of the interesting shit that could have easily replaced all of that padding wholesale without destroying the budget into audio dramas and manga.

The end of StrikerS with Teana and Subaru coming to the rescue was so much hype. I really thought they would've been the "new" Nanoha and Fate in a way. The next big couple protagonists for the series to push. Will forever be salty they got smacked down to supporting roles in Vivid.

...

I want to know what robot vagina feels like

Don't worry they'll be back once we get InnocentS after the Innocent anime.

But first half had Teana continuously getting BTFO so it was all good.

My problem of course, like most people, is that it had way too many characters.

Which is why I think it'd be good as a movie. Because you can cute certain characters out and drop the SoL filler, or, at least reduce it to 10 minutes.

It'd need 2 movies though, because it's 24 episodes. So 2 movies for 2 halves.

Nanoha is stil a crazed maniac for chimping out during training.

That scene is still one of the best scenes in the entire Nanoha series. The pristine voice acting still gives me chills to this day

Too bad Fuuka and Rinne are now the protagonists.

That moment was when I knew Nanoha was going to be great that seasons

season*
Ha I wish StrikerS had multiple seasons

Same

Thank god Fuuka saved the Nanoha franchise.

...

It's true! Fuuka saved everything.

Are you trying to bait Bitchy into responding?

The franchise wouldn't have needed saving if they continued the course StrikerS set

I'll take that lack of response as a yes.

Absouletly not.

Then explain yourself since Tsuzuki seems to have ditched Vivid and VS for Reflection.

What makes you think he's ditched VS? He's putting Fuuka and Rinne in the movie commentary.

Subaru and Teana were also in the commentaries for the first and they haven't done shit either for the last 7 years.

If 7 years pass and we haven't seen Fuuka and Rinne in any kind of spotlight, I'll take back what I said about Fuuka saving the Nanoha franchise.

More like Rinne saved the franchise. VS would have been so boring without her.

Same thing can be said about Fate.

No. Nanoha, Fate and Hayate should have continued being the protagonists while slowly growing up between seasons

>I'm gonna shitpost VS and force Fuuka and Rinne as a thread meme for 7 years for attention

That's a pretty sad reason to make yourself feel relevant in threads for a dying series. Rinne and Fuuka are only getting shilled because they're the newest MCs with newer VAs.

They had RF6 and Vivio, Einhart and her friends for the Movie 1st and 2nd commentaries and that changed nothing. RF6 are now literally whos and Vivio's even being shelved in favor of Reflection.

So there's no reason to think that VS is saving anything. Especially when it doesn't have a manga, games or even any kind of additional material planned for the future.

They fucked up when they teased us with the original 3 as JK at the end of A's, then proceeded to skip to adulthood while continuously making references to major events that happened during that skip. Major events that could be properly expanded to a whole season no problem.

Honestly though, I'm fine with either set being the main protagonists.

I'm surprised that Fuuka is as popular as she is given how little of the show seemed to focus on her.

I don't think it's possible to be that flat.

She'll grow!
Just a late bloomer

>read all those shitposts about how disappointed and terrible Reflection is when it first came out
>went to the theater slightly worried
>it actually is great
Man, I should have known better than listening to Sup Forums. The new art style is pretty alright animated. There are some low budgeted cuts here and there but overall the animation is not bad. The fights are well directed with some nice surprised moves like that scene where Nanoha fucking threw Kyrie around with the cord binding herself.
Do we have the date for the next part yet?

just give me a new season of nanoha with long hair subaru in it so i can die in peace.

Here ya go

Rinne a shit. I want to punch Rinne in the face.

She would end you.

She's just a little girl user.

Who Cypha'd Signum in the movie?

>No spinning power fisto
>No rollerblades
>No buddy
>Flat as a board
>Commoner colored hair
I want a refund.

She's still learning. Rollerblades aren't cool though and she has her best bud Rinne.

Yuri.

Is the movie mostly action and fights like everyone is saying? No time for pointless fluff, fanservice or loli yuri like the previous movies?

>best bud
>can't even wear it
Mach Caliber a best.

She doesn't need it, she has the god hand after all.

Well that's actually an improvement. No shame in jobbing to the final boss. Did Signum recover or we'll have to wait to DETONATION to see her back in action?

>otona modo is also flat

I've got bad news for you, homie.

It's like 80% action. There is only a bit SoL with the kids going to the aquarium with their families at the beginning. There is a lot of talking and plot development going on during the battles, though. While these is not much down time, the characters' personalities and motivations are well expressed through their actions.
Aside from the usual henshin I don't recall any explicit fanservice this time. About yuri, there are some really small hints here and there but no handholding.

She got up at the very end of the movie. They literally ended the movie in the middle of final boss fight with Nanoha coming to the rescue with an upgraded Raising Heart.

>that scene where Nanoha fucking threw Kyrie around with the cord binding herself.

Holy fucking shit

>Aside from the usual henshin
Ok time for the question I'm more afraid to ask:

Did the Wolks finally got a movie henshin sequence?

>Nanoha coming to the rescue with an upgraded Raising Heart
Wait, the Strike Cannon IS Raising Heart this time?

Nope.

She's gonna be massive, just as big as Nanoha.

The MOVIE 2nd was a mistake.

Yep. The one you see she's carrying in Detonation poster is Raising Heart after being upgraded with whatever technologies the Florian sisters are using. Btw, Raising Heart personally requested for that upgrade.

That's what shouldn't have happened from the beginning. Ditching the old Devices was retarded as they're pretty much characters themselves. Upgrading them to new forms is the way to go.

I don't think they're going to abandon the main canon. They're just focusing on these two movies for the next couple of years. It's going to be a long, sad wait, but I think we'll get back to where Strike left off eventually.
