So let me get this straight, the bridge was supposed to "prevent" death?

So let me get this straight, the bridge was supposed to "prevent" death?

Who was the engineer and architect? Were they white males or "diverse"?

Bridge apparently used some experimental "environmentally friendly" concrete. Not sure about the engineers and contractors involved but I'm pretty sure they were diverse and cut corners, because shitskins and women always cut corners. Several most likely democrats died so not too bad of an accident.

It was an assault bridge, it was just a matter of time before it attacked. Sorta like a pitbull.

Just a bunch of white guys from Havana. Nothing to see here.

Apparently it’s cheaper to import a slab of concrete and place it over a road. I hope everyone involved does time in prison

Jorge Munilla was the builder. Sounds like a white male to me.

The bridge was supposed to a spotlight & prove that environmentally friendly concrete works LOL

meanwhile Roman concrete still stands

Exactly my thoughts desu.

is that a cuban joo?

CIA lets the Cuban Mafia run Miami for too long Trump has to let FBI clean it up gone on for too long

Hmmmm....

I hope their business files bankruptcy and they go to prison.

le 56% percent bridge

Retards should have used steel I beams instead they fucking use 90 tons of concrete.

concrete is always enviromentally friendly
Also you have several norms in the context of the grade of the concrete, we in europe have like 1 - 5 i think, the later ones are mixed with volcanic elements or blast furnace slag, and you surely will also have several grades
Either way, when you have a structural engineer who knows what he is doing and you use reinforced concrete, such things dont happen
I dont know what happened, but somebody fucked up

Romans also understood what camber is.

Did they seriously build a fucking suspension bridge for foot traffic?

Attached: C_EeytwXcAA0tRH.jpg (1200x675, 114K)

Yea sure bro :3

They also tested its integrity live over a busy highway.
>cuban intellectuals

It probably would have been fine if they had that middle support. They were planning on building it last though I guess since it wasn't there before the bridge collapsed.

>aims to make a dangerous crossing safer
how about a proper crosswalk with traffic signals.

Look at all the prosperity it brought the neighborhood

I was wondering why the renders have the suspension tower but it seems missing from the photos.

Were they really planning on adding the tower later? Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to build (much less open) a suspension bridge without a suspension tower?

That's what you get with liberals, "muh artistic bridges." Just do a standard, no-frills concrete box girder bridge and call it a day. They could even put a standing seam metal roof on it to protect people from rain. But no, they had to spend all that extra money to design for some retarded aesthetic ideal. What happened to practicality?

I drive around a lot and am interested in highway infrastructure, particularly older simple designs that still hold up to this day. Now a lot of new highway projects are implementing design elements just to make shit look pretty instead of practical. That's my tax dollars being burned.

The "instant" bridge was set to open in 2019. It was still closed for construction.

Elon Musk's Tunnel Projects go online talking about the benefit of having pedestrian tunnels for walking and biking

Three days later a pedestrian bridge is scuttled

Left without supports during a major lift and set

Now I am not engineer level project coordinator

But I did work at the largest firm in the world at the time as an intern and to tell the truth

Most of these build ups leave numerous supports in place during a rig like this one.

Numerous supports are set in place.....

This was coordinated like a mega builders show special for their company promo.....and left with a substandard frame to support the first segment being suspended in place using absolutely nothing under its huge span

Also the span was 150'+ across.....that requires a slightly different internal frameworking.

That span was snapped in half and collapsed from the weight.

The Titanium Dioxide also led to the final weakness....never trust these types of new innovations until they have been load tested in place in a full scale and fully weighted demonstration for the engineers to take a look at.

>The innovative installation method significantly reduced risks to workers, pedestrians and motorists and minimized traffic disruptions, FIU said.
>The architecturally distinctive, cable-supported bridge is the product of a collaboration between MCM Construction and FIGG Bridge Design, the firm responsible for the iconic Sunshine Skyway Bridge over Tampa Bay.

So who is MCM Consruction? MCM Construction has had many "retaliatory" reviews on their social media but one curious 1 star Google review from someone named "George Garcia" was made 3 weeks ago. MCM Construction's entire board of directors is one family of 56%ers named the Munillas so their organization is obviously run like shit. What did George know?

Figg's response to the incident:
>"Our deepest sympathies are with all those affected by this accident," officials with the internationally known company wrote in the statement.
>"We will fully cooperate with every appropriate authority in reviewing what happened and why. In our 40-year history, nothing like this has ever happened before."
>In 2012, Figg was cited by the Virginia Department of Labor for four violations after a 90-ton piece of concrete fell from a bridge under construction near Norfolk, Virginia, according to media reports.
Figg appears to be a company of sociopathic liars. They appear to weasel away from responsibility by calling themselves a collaboration of different engineering firms. What did Figg know?

So what Musk sabotaged the bridge? Do you know how retarded you sound?

>I'll use the continuous monitoring of construction and performance of the new bridge in assignments for my engineering students. They'll observe how bridges behave under daily temperature changes, under their weight load, and so on. It's really going to be a live laboratory.
OH NO NO NO AHAHHAHAHHHAHHAHA

Looks like it needed the suspension after all because it collapsed without it....

Romans raced chariots and porsches?

And your life on the line because of these fuckers being culturally apropriate and not top of their class!

>or blast furnace slag
We in the US used to know what slag is but that was before all the great trade deals back in the blast furnace ndays

if it were an arch

kek

I am sure it somehow has to do with race and not shitty repealed building codes.

>People trapped under crashed bridge
>Cops and etc walk on top of wreckage, squishing the victims even more

What the fuck are they thinking

Attached: 1514389223265.png (989x726, 132K)

bridge was made with "cheap chinese steel".

You can have column A and a column B. It's not an either-or situation.

Haven't read anything on the bridge yet, but I'm guessing they're referring to a concrete that used less calcination, was packed with a filler, or used fiber reinforcement in the concrete so that less was required. Regardless, this was a fucking retarded way to test an experimental construction method.

Ouch! Live lab under rubble isnt alive anymore.

Dont use Tamiami(us41) or any fucking road for your social experiments. Its fucking Racist Math that you Have to Use!

kek, based

>"Instant Bridge"
Can we find which kike it was that pushed for this "instant" design in the first place that resulted in the cut corners?

200lbs isnt going to make much of a difference when hundreds of tons of contrete turns you into mush

lmao i need source. I was wondering why it had a 1 foot thick concrete roof, i suppose the suspension was supposed to support that. I already thought that concrete roof was the cause. this just makes it even funnier.

But it's environmentally friendly, which is a new thing this day and age just give it time and eventually it'll work, plus those people WERE pretty racist so it's kind of good gods on our side (not that I'm religious) :)

>Subcontractor using Mexicans
>Chinese materials
>Stess testing during rush hour
What could go wrong?

The weight of the top layer of rubble is lying on a lower layer, not on the fucking people you autist

steel beams cant stop these dank memes

look at how insanely thick that roof is, all concrete. Makes 0 sense to me, and was likely only done to make the suspension even tenable.

I can watch that video all day

>200lbs

son, were talking florida cops here. 200lbs is a floridian bikini model.

Well to be fair, thousands of students could cross it right now without worrying about traffic

>even more

The concrete slab was 1000 tons my dude.

Every time I see monumentally stupid engineering, usually in consumer goods, I assume it was designed by a nigger and they let it pass for affirmative action.

I can build better bridges in a videogame

And people say cats aren't based.
The dog didn't react at all to the sperging manchild

The owner is an SJW that tweeted "build bridges. not walls". I bet my house, the engineer is a diversity hire.

Please, this was just South American incompetence and stupidity.

list of the things they fucked up is so long i'm worried this whole company might be a huge scam. Nosenberg made some good money

asked:

>is that a cuban joo?

Doing a search, I get:

Shalom,
Javier Sáenz Munilla.-

So, did FIU President Mark B. Rosenberg choose a friendly co-religionist builder for the bridge?

Actually this time it was a spic company using female "artistic" engineering plans with the direction of an Iranian professor and Jewish university president. No niggers at all.

That giant suspension part is the most important part for structural integrity, and it doesn't appear to have been installed. Fucking geniuses.

>Who was the engineer
Idk but he'll be in prison soon

Just look at that central support column. Christ. Also when they were placing the main walkway in some of the pictures you can see how thin and few the underlying steel connectors are.

>not on the fucking people
Then why the fuck are they dead if they're not crushed by the rubble you nigger?

>So let me get this straight
t. Boomer

Every time.

Am I missing something? Isn't that a fucking crosswalk just beside it? So basically what happened here is a bunch of stupid, lazy students kept running avross the street instead of walking the extra 50 ft to the crosswalk?

Cubans and Jews. HAHAHAHAHAAAAAA

They look straight out of the 1980s

oh HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAA

Bridges!? We don't need no stinking bridges!

(((Rosenberg's Bridge)))

Fucking amerikek builders! Should’ve got the polish to do it

shut the fuck up, leaf. We jaywalk in the united states

The bridge wasn't finished yet. It was supposed to be a place people count walk over without needing to cross the street. They were allowing traffic underneath it before it was finished and it fell when they were stress testing it.
