Honestly I feel like anime kind of fucking sucks for horror. I can't think of a single anime I found remotely spooky, and I can't even think if any decent attempts. Stuff listed as "horror anime" like Wicked City or Vampire Hunter D are really just action films with monsters.
The only thing that I can think of that was even remotely spooky was fucking Dusk Maiden and that's an ecchi romance, not a horror.
I dunno if I've just missed all the decent horror shows or what.
