I was really surprised by it myself. The colors were gorgeous, the animation was 90% spectacular (especially for Toei), the filler did well to flesh out the side characters in a way that was both entertaining and paced the plot, and overall every fight was hype in its own way. A great revival for a great franchise but it just died back down for zero reason.

It ended during/before the previous season IIRC, but yeah it turned out pretty well. The development between Miss X and Haruna also played out greatly.

In fairness the first animated Garo series is a solid 8/10 would watch again tier, especially second half.

2nd animated series, though, its only promising point is Romi Park as fem MC. Goddamn everyone else was every level of incompetent

It's not just cute girls, this is also the season of Kekkai, Inuyashiki, and Shokugeki, which have much stronger anime name recognition than Garo.

It's just another Garo series. Like the toku shows, there's usually an absolutely minimal, if any, connection to the previous show. Garo, far as I can tell, if even more disconnected than the other toku shows, at least in its anime. This is third one, by the way.

There are no genre transcending Anime that will pick up the majority of Sup Forums to be unanimously declared AOTS or even AOTY.
