I, personally don't feel bad for them, as they actively fought against us (Americans) during Westward Expansion, and they lost. But for some reason the media portrays them as peaceful elf-like mythical creatures that can do no wrong. Atrocities were committed by both sides, but I feel as though the Indians committed far, far more atrocities in the early years of the United States than is ever discussed.

I have alot of sympathy for any people wanting to hold onto their traditions in the face of soul crushing consumerism. M8 i did not make a single claim about the effect of Protestantism/Catholicism on economic development, just that the Spanish were less genocidal than the American Calvinists.
