I contend that Raphael was a true angel who we are allowed insight (messages) from heaven through.

What do you contend?

He was given a divine gift.

Great documentary on his madonna of the meadow dailymotion.com/video/x1ircbo

Are angels bestowed with divine gifts or are men?

I would say men. I think of angels as helpers who are invisible most of the time. I’m by no means an expert. Raphael probably had flaws like men, but I would think angels don’t have flaws.

There’s a good podcast on iTunes about angels in art you might like.

Raphael was flawless in spirit, was he not?

When did angels acquire wings in art?

Did Alexander really have horns and do angels really have wings?

I think he died of some sexual disease, but I’m not sure. He was a big partier. Does that make him flawless in spirit? I don’t know.

I’m not sure. I don’t think this was addressed in the podcast.

Was that civilised what you have uttered?

I am not an authority on angels. My guess is that wings are a metaphor. We probably can’t comprehend fully angels, so imagining them as winged beings is something our brains can handle. It makes sense because we think of heaven as up in the sky where there is light. God is symbolized by the sun in many religions. Demons on the other hand crawl out of dark places and shadows.

Alexander who? I’m not familiar.

Civilized? What do you mean?

I asked if you were a savage or barbarian.

Alexander, student of Aristotle

I am not.

I doubt he had horns.

I see. Then why are you behaving like one?

As do I.

The truth in and of itself is far more profound that any mythos dare capture.

>You blessed man! It can only be decided with the most sublime of virgin vs. Chad memes.

Angels are from Zoroastrianism. It came into Christianity through Roman Mirthaism which has temples all over the lower levels of the Vatican.

How am I?

Your earlier statement was uncivilised.

Are you mentally ill?

You are the one who contends with yourself.

Quote:

Put simply, nowhere in Scripture do we see angels with wings. Nowhere. ... You get the point. Seraphim, Cherubim, and angels are all different classes of spiritual creatures, but the Bible generally keeps them separate. (Rev 4 seems to blend Cherubim and Seraphim, but doesn't confuse these with angels.).

Is English your second language?

Yes. I speak to God firstly.

As do I

That's excellent.

Angels are different than men because men have a physical body. The physical body is why we are superior to the divine.

You merely perceive a physical body for that is your form where you are in time space.

Enlighten me , as to why this makes us superior

No thank you. I know Raphael.

Well of course, but what is above is represented in what is below.

Just off-hand, I recall a passage from Seneca where he states something along the lines of "Man is greater than the Gods because he knows hardship." The concept of the physical world is that of changability, hence why we have things such as "time." The body, in all of it's "imperfections" makes it so a soul that inhibits it can be changed as well. Naturally, most people abuse this, but someone who knows this can use the body to transform their soul from "iron" to "gold;" the basic principle of alchemy. Unlike the divine, which are absolute in their actions, man is relative and in constant change/chaos.

Personally?

Better a prismatic form to cast the spectrum of colour from the higher dimension of light
