Is it better than Isekai Shokudou?
Consider me not interested
>We want the Restaurant to Another World audience
>sunrise
Oh boy
Eh. It doesn't really focus on interpersonal relationships as much.
Nice, I guess waiting for the manga getting a better release was not a waste afterall since we are getting both.
It's still episodic meal/customer of the week styled but less of the completely disconnected vignettes of Shokudou. There's a more distinct sense of "story" progress and recurring characters interact with each other much more. The food is also more distinctly Japanese than Shokudou's yoshoku-styled meals.
Basically Shokudou is more ephemeral while Nobu is more grounded.
Nice, I'll check it out
So its worse.
Interesting. I liked how Isekai Shokudou did it with each character's circumstances but actual story progression might be nice.
It's better already, because it looks better and has more beautiful backgrounds, Shokudou fell flat with its shitty visuals, it was trying to be an iyashikei type of series but failed because the visuals didn't back it up.

Depends on what you wanted from the shows honestly. There were people who wanted to see more of Aletta/Mastah or more of the circumstances/conflict of Nekoya --- they'll definitely get more of that here.
The difference in settings pretty much shows the divergence in approach of the two series:
Isekai Shokudou has it where there are doors dotted all over the fantasy world that the fantastical denizens covet and stumble upon for once a week. The stories much like doors are as diverse and disconnected as it can get sometimes to the benefit of the series because it builds a really vivid world that we only get glimpses of from the stories/monologues of the customers and they themselves only get a glimpse of our world through the narrow view of Nekoya. What we see as viewers is just another day in Nekoya and nothing more.
Izakaya Nobu on the other hand has the actual diner in literally one fixed location in the fantasy world. Much like Gate, the diner is as you can guess an actual gate wedged in between a block of houses in some nondescript fantasy city/capital. You can already see where this is going because that means the customers, the stories, the fantasy setting, and the MCs themselves are much more intimate with each other which also leads to actual conflict and plot progression because of the diner's concrete presence in the fantasy world.
I personally liked Shokudou more but this is still pretty good too.
It's a shame the character designs aren't as good as the manga. Hope Sunrise doesn't focus all their money on how the food looks like Isekai Shokudou.
Is this season 2?
Fuck yes.
Sounds less niche. Too bad it probably won't have the perfection which is Kuro or Yukarin getting bullied.
>It's better already, because it looks better and has more beautiful backgrounds, Shokudou fell flat with its shitty visuals, it was trying to be an iyashikei type of series but failed because the visuals didn't back it up.
Watch the visuals for this show be the same type of shit, if not worse. Isekai Shokudou was working with fantasy creatures, this show has a lower hurdle being that all its customers are humans.
>You can already see where this is going because that means the customers, the stories, the fantasy setting, and the MCs themselves are much more intimate with each other which also leads to actual conflict and plot progression because of the diner's concrete presence in the fantasy world.
No, fuck off reddit. This story is basically if Aletta wanted to bone Master so bad she left her inheritance and home. That's not "actual conflict" that's just Mexican tv soap tier drama.
The fantasy is also bullshit because the most fantasy we're gonna see here is a witch, and we're not even sure if the anime is going to cover her.
>but muh goddess
Meh.
I wouldn't expect anything from this show. Spoiler alert, waitress and chef still don't bone at the end of the anime despite getting a "kid" already.
It doesn't matter if it was working with fantastical creatures, the production values were suhpar and the overall aesthetic of the show fell flat. It's part of Silver Link's reputation.
Sunrise are an established studio and they produce their series with a fair amount of consistency and they tend to have above average visual in terms of their productions, and they have good consistency. It's not going to look worse.
>discount shokudou with no bland humans
The only good thing will be the little girl married off to some noble to get legally raped.
When anime created by Silver Link looks good, it's because Oonuma and the A team. Shokudou gets shit because the one who handled it was the B team.
He's not wrong. Shokudou was my personal AOTS runner-up but there was a lot of off-model shots there and barely any animation which was especially obvious during that episode where Aletta met with the treasure hunter. The backgrounds alone were awful at one point there was a god damn fire hydrant in the kingdom and it was all obviously just whatever reference pictures from the modern world they can hobble up.
Still loved it regardless but shit was low budget and janky as fuck.
yes
Yes
YES
JUST GIVE ME NICHIBRO S2 GODDAMMIT!
>poster art vs first episode art
Sorry if I don't buy your bullshit.
All animes have inconsistencies, rarely there's one that doesn't, but fuck off to uranus if you're saying Nobu will have better art and animation because muh B team and muh Sunrise.
shill your anime if you must but don't spread lies while doing so.
