Just bought a half steer from local farmer. No hormones, all grass fed. 3 bucks per pound.
Because you don't buy your meat from your local butcher.
Our food prices have soared, because there are so many on EBT spending their Monopoly bux on food. Ever been to a grocery store when their gibs reset? They're loading their carts up with processed garbage. One of the few items they purchase that requires any sort of preparation is raw beef.
Says Fresh in front of the store
that's ridiculous any private butcher shop is going to charge way more
Texas meat is cheap
You'd think so but they don't. Supermarkets are ripp offs on a lot of things
Plenty of meat out there just walking around
Wai a min....you mean muh steaks have a bunch of weird shit in them and I still have to pay more?
moron, actually go and look. butchers are specialty shops now and charge a lot more than markets.
>Prices in the 1st world are higher than in 3rd world shitholes.
What a shocker.
I just bought half a cow butchered into different types like sausages, steaks, ground up a month ago. It was actually pretty cheap considering it'll probably last me a while
>ribeye at approx 18 dollar/kilo
>expensive
damn, thats a bargain
Honestly mate if you think that's a ripoff, come to the UK.
I always buy the organic free range grassfed vacuum packed steaks, they are a bit more money but they don't put that nasty red dye in them to make them look like fresh cuts, and they taste phenomenal
I just bought some ground beef for $2.99 a pound. Seems reasonable to me.
We get it, you are a faggot
mmm Fogo de Chao
>South American Meat
Rib eye is like 3.99 a lb here in oregon must suck to live in a shithole.
nice shot
your beef must be full of penicillin
pretty sure prices can be HIGH or LOW
Expensive can be meat not prices...
Any anglo can confirm this?
You are aware that Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil are some of the largest meat exporters in the world, right?
It's still quite cheap in the US my friend. You should see in Europe. We in the Americas have it really good when it comes to meat prices.
I get free meat here all the time. Once the lambs are ready someone just drops off a huge sack of rejected flesh and I freeze it. Why more people don't is beyond me.
Stop complaining
> my dietary choices contribute to massive suffering, torture and death to hundreds of billions of animals per year
> muh meats too expensive! Shud b free!
Sadly I live in New Jersey
>massive suffering, torture and death to hundreds of billions of animals per year
True red pilled is eating meat only a couple times a week, and buying only humanely treated, local meat.
Dude, if you're only paying $9/lbs for ribeye, you're already getting pretty cheap shit. Good beef isn't that inexpensive, bud.
The best part about Burgerland are its Brazilian steakhouses. People will drop 400+ dollars on one meal just to have brown guys walk around and slice them any kind of meat they want.
You took the wrong path and while we preserved the environment and lived as one with nature you made taller skycrappers and tiny propaganda dispensers with an integrated GPS.
Can prob get half the price from my local butcher
Not having a deep freezer in your garage stocked with wild game meat you shot yourself.
Where do Europe and store their fresh kills?
Is that in Quebec?
I know the feel bro.
Not eating animals is the ultimate red pill. But your suggestion is better than what most do.
North western Ontario
Have you tasted the local meat in those shitholes? They import usda prime for a reason.
Not eating nothing is the true red pill it's a jewish lie to believe you need to eat to survive.
All your stupid regulations, taxes and minimum wage rise the price of goods and services
take a look at those prices, then adjust for the currency exchange (as op has done), then adjust kg to pound.
>not eating nothing
Leaf education
Not an excuse. There is plenty of gameland in NJ. I used to live there.
Dude, I have to fence deer out of my backyard in Jersey.
Sadly it belongs to rich south african farmers.
Is it? Lung not heart so the deer drowns on its own blood.
here ya go, lazy bro
$9.70 FOR THE STEAK
$33.45 FOR A KG
When will Sup Forums take the vegetarian pill?
Hitler didn’t eat meat.
P.S 1kg is apprx 2.2lb,

The real answer is because democrats jacked up the price of corn with their corn fuel.
Every animal that is fed corn became much more expensive.
If democrats cut out their stupid corn fuel scheme we would have cheaper meat
>purchasing high-demand, specific cuts of steaks
>guys why is it so expensive
You literal fucking retard. There's cuts of beef, or ground beef, that are way cheaper. Steak is also supposed to be a delicacy for once a week at best. Quit shopping retarded.
>7 limes
No wonder you have so much immigrants, the majority of you cant even afford to eat meat and get some testosterone.
>Every animal that is fed corn became much more expensive.
You're retarded and do not understand how US corn farming works. Quit talking out of your ass.
my local butcher charges a whole lot more
He's right though, right? I thought all that ethanol fuel came from corn
Lucky bastards, an lb of a good ribeye in Russia costs 30$.
Nevermind I'm illiterate apparently.
He is right it’s the DemoRats fault
Only a tree hugging fag thinks you can feed everyone with leaves.
American corn farming is completely subsidized. We grow so much corn that the price is dirt cheap. The government pays the difference of a bare minimum per bushel to the farmers when the market price is below that. We grow so much corn (and growing) that the price is always falling. To say that corn prices are going up is ignorant of what corn farming is in the US. They will only stay steady or go down unless Nebraska catches fire.
This is the only way to go, but sadly it will gain popularity thus driving the price up.
>Meat Prices in America so Damn EXPENSIVE
I was under the impression it was much cheaper in the US.
At my local supermarket beef pieces are around 22€ per kilogram.
If you're willing to buy a side of beef, a whole hog or wait for deals you can get a lot of very good meat for 2-3 bucks a lb depending where you live in the country.
>he doesn't hunt his own meat
I'm still living off of 2 bucks I shot in November
Absolutely this. This is when the prices for everything husbandry and farm animal related skyrocketed. Prices for human food that contains corn did the same. If you want to blame someone for this, blame them.
10 years ago a 50lb bag of corn was $6.99 at the local feed store. Now it's $13.99. Yes, prices go up over time but no other animal feed went up more than a dollar or two in this same span, and it's not even processed and doesn't even have any nutritional additives. It's literally dried whole corn in a sack. So in the past 10 years the price of raising one steer has *at least* doubled, if not more.
Well it's going to get more expensive if it starts getting exported to Japan and elsewhere.
their blood pressure drops pretty quickly which causes them to black out.
No that is entirely untrue. Every small butcher is way more expensive for everything.
You don't want fresh cuts retard.
>President's choice
Trump steak?
Wtf Ivan
It costs 40zl for a kilogram here
user isn't talking about a butcher shop, which is a specialty thing, he is talking about buying the cow from the farmer that raised it and is also butchering it. It is cheaper because the steer doesn't have to go to be processed and the farmer can get MSRP for selling it himself rather than half that by going through middle men, and he doesn't have to add on the additional cost of grocery stores, too. That's why it's cheaper.
its really not that expensive here
>10 years ago a 50lb bag of corn was $6.99 at the local feed store. Now it's $13.99.
Verifiably false. In fact it's the opposite. Your supplier is fucking you in the ass.
Second source.
you can't conflate the futures price with end-market price.
Grocery prices are pretty fair here, as long as you know how to shop and how to cook. Get a vacuum sealer and stock up when meats are on sale. Then portion them out and keep your freezer stocked. Just date everything and rotate through what you use so you don't waste it.
Those are Canada bux though.what is that worth, like 75 cents?
I live in a very cheap part of the US and Ribeye is easily $18/lb or more at supermarkets. $8.98 per pound has to be wholesale uncut.
>and Ribeye is easily $18/lb or more at supermarkets
$10 or $11. Just bought some.
Farmers are heavily taxed.
>frozen meat
This is the price of freshness.
might as well be eating some thawed woolly mammoth steaks
You're right and wrong. There are a lot of neighborhood butchers and seafood shops here that are hella cheap and have great product. There are also hipster as fuck 'specialty' shops that overcharge the fuck out of the meat around town too.
It all comes down to one simple thing. Are you actually shopping for meat or the 'experience', and by experience they mean for some haughty faggot that thinks he's more 'cultured' then you lecture you on the intricacies of hamburger and prime rib that they had to ship on freezer trucks half way across the country.
No thank you, I'll head to Bill's down the road. Who gets his cows from the local farm and is the only one the farmer trusts to butcher his own meat.
Well no shit. If you live in the middle of nowhere, storebought stuff is going to be expensive
I applied for food stamps. I'll be getting my meats for free soon. The first meal I'm going to get is a lobster dinner, then a juicy steak.
This. There are 'less desirable' cuts that are fucking great. People just meme the shit out of certain cuts that at the end of the day, half you fag's probably aren't even cooking correctly anyways.
Also people eat way to much meat in general. I love my bacon, steaks and all that just as much as anyone else, but people tend to overeat it by giving themselves absolutely huge portions for every meal. Too much red meat can give you cholesterol problems, and you can eat too much protein. If you eat more protein then you body needs it turns it into sugar in a process called gluconeogenesis. Along with many other little things that people don't consider, like an excess of ammonia and nitrogen.
But I think that more of a 'people don't pay attention to nutrition as much as they should' problem and not just a red meat problem.
This. My uncles are hunters and just bought another deep freezer. They feed the whole family pretty much when it comes to meat. Every thanksgiving turkey and Christmas ham came from them.
let your mom know your helmet straps are on to tight.
>blood should go to the brain
>Why are Meat Prices in America so Damn EXPENSIVE?
expensive? come to britain
It's real meat. Not dogs or horses.
>brown ID
checks out
just loaded a half cow into mu deep freeze too, so many steaks. feels good man
only a faggot would by one steak at a time
Nice
i don't know, maybe you actually pay your people to keep a looksie on food safety?
Maybe money here is not worth the same as it is in south america?
Maybe you are just a spoiled cunt.
snaggle-toothed anglos can't chew meat, polebro, so they wouldn't know. Hope this helps.
