Iran has 3X the population of Saudi arabia and 9X the population of Israel, they already survived an 8 year long war with Iraq (now nearly 40M) including the large scale usage of chemical weapons and nerve agents by Iraq
Iran is actually in a pretty strong position as far as demographics, especially if you consider that most of the Iraqi Shia (population growing at an explosive rate) will side with Iran as well
