I'm a 9-5 good goy

I make knives and am pretty successful for it. Biz got so good I had to move out of the garage and rent a building for a shop and take on a paid apprentice.

I mostly sell through online retail but I also distribute to a dozen mom and pop hunting & fishing stores (who I specifically let sell under the price I sell them for online and keep 70% of the profit.

I spend about 55 hours a week making knives, 5 to 10 doing financing and and another hour each day packing and mailing.

I'm not rich, but I'm happy.

Nope, perpetual student. I finish a degree go on welfare for a year then do another. Will do it until retirement age.

I am one of the hardest working people I know. When I had a retail job in highschool, I would refuse to use my phone for anything besides playing music when unlaoding pallets. I would always be on my shit and that enventualy led to me getting promoted to a manager/keyholder when I was only 16. I got a dishwashing gig once for some side money and the spics would always randomly not show up and I would always be willing to cover for them, one time pulling 2 tripple shifts back to back (on a fri and sat).

It's kinda retarded when is see other people who literally just doing the bare minimum requirements of the job.

Honestly, I watched a lot of youtube videos, picked up tools as I could afford them (managed to get a 9" Skillz bands saw brand new on Craigslist for $30!) and what not.

I bough some cheap Chinese blanks and cut a few pine 2 x 4s to make practice knives and learn the right pressure and everything. I had it down by my 4th blank.

For a while, I just turned wood around blanks from good companies but made enough money to move to making my own blades (stock removal) and have been doing that since. I also do the leather working.

I get custom requests and my State's governor ordered one from me, making me more popular when he mentioned in an interview (it sits on his office desk).

hard working is subjective.. a leaf blower probably works very hard but will earn very little.

you have to do it smart.. I have 3 sources of income myself:

I :I speculate on the stockmarket (+yearly dividends)
2: I run my own webshop
3: I have a full time job

I'm planning to to buy a property here next year and rent it out to season workers..

I've had a group interview once in 2011... so it's been around for a while.

HR people have to show their 'value'' to the company, so they come up with these sort of silly things.

I've always found indians born in Britain to be hard working. Same can't be said for Bangladeshis or Pakistans.

I used to. Grew up in poverty, took an internship for about 100/month (illegally, because it was a third of the minimum salary of my third world country) worked my ass off, worked my way up the ranks until i earned more than i needed, still rode the bus to work every day, did night shifts often, unpaid overtime, and saved most of my salary for years, almost never went out, almost never did anything that required me to spend money having fun, saved up enough to set up my own business, tried my hardest to make it work again for years, BUT, eventually it became obvious that the game was rigged, i literally found myself having to ask for loans just so i could pay the government taxes that they estimated that i would have to pay by the end of the year (i hadn't even profited enough to be taxed by those amounts yet but they wanted the money just in case i did). Banks, however, won't give you anything unless you're either already rich or have friends in the government; then i figured out that everything is rigged, that taxes help established companies by crippling newcomers, and obviously the government. Eventually, I ended up making a lot more money with a fraction of the effort by helping corrupt government officials launder money and take it out of the country. Part of me feels sad that this is what I ended up doing instead of any of my previous, much more interesting, challenging, socially positive enterprises that the government itself starved off; but the other part of me just thinks fuck it, people are retarded, they want this, they're voting for this, and my choice is to either willingly get fucked or to be among the ones who fuck retards who literally want it, anyway

I am a high school teacher at a +70% melanin enriched school. It is my first year, and I am taking over halfway through the school year.

To a certain extent I go by the rules of the jungle in my classroom. Worked on befriending the football team and others, getting them on my side and then letting them handle behavior disruptions in my regular/lower classes. Sometimes they are the disruption themselves, but we just roll through it and its manageable to get them on track.

I used to be extremely hard working when I had a boss. Now that I run a business I find it really hard to be accountable to myself. Probably a sign of poor self-esteem.
