This is just butthurt mainlander posturing as usual. Our "One China" policy is not the same as the PRC's and never has been, although PRC state media loves to make it seem so. The PRC's One China policy is "PRC is the one legitimate Chinese government and the (Republican) Chinese government in Taiwan is illegitimate" while ours is essentially "The US acknowledges that the PRC considers itself to have sovereignty over Taiwan, but we do not necessarily hold with that position ourselves" and we continue to maintain informal diplomatic relations with the ROC anyways. The thing is though the mainlanders are extremely sensitive about any sort of recognition of Taiwan since back in the day, everybody recognized Republic of China as the real China instead of their shitty country.
