So what's your argument against the death of the author?

I thought the author was arrested, not dead. Was he killed in prison?

>"The Death of the Author" (French: La mort de l'auteur) is a 1967 essay by the French literary critic and theorist Roland Barthes (1915–80). Barthes' essay argues against traditional literary criticism's practice of incorporating the intentions and biographical context of an author in an interpretation of a text, and instead argues that writing and creator are unrelated.

It's been 117 days since we last had a chapter.

How do they even know that the 7th layer kills you

That's right, i am Fluffzen.

Same way they know anything abut the seventh layer.

Messages sent up by white whistles.

The only plausible way to get message from the 6th layer is to insert it into elevator and wait for Bonedad to pick it up. Since you cant get up from 7th to 6th without dying. who is delivering messages to the elevator.

>The only plausible way

ie. the only way I know how

And since the only way you know is based on what Riko knows, and she knows basically nothing, YOU know basically nothing.

Its the only way stated in the manga so unless you know something that author did not tell us, move along fella.

There is no need to be so fucking rude on the internet. How about you drink some fucking tea?

Azen.

I want to eat that cake

That's easy. You take a squad with you.
A member of your squad goes up, suffers from the curse, then you write down what happened to him and send it up by a loon.

>A member of your squad goes up, suffers from the curse, then you write down what happened to him and send it up by a loon.

t. Bondrewd

My my my

Nanachi loves the robocock.

So is Tsukushi working hard? He had 10 extra days to write.

He was arrested and then killed in prison.

I hope Tsukushi works hard in prison! No more distractions!

What a slut. You know she would love being dominated by Reg

I would love to be dominated by Reg

seek help

Obviously people are sending balloons up from the 7th which then likely get stuck somewhere in the 6th layer where they are then sent up the elevator by the White Whistles that find them.

Why? There's nothing wrong with that

I am already picturing Srajo the shitcrow picking up the loons and transferring them to the elevator.

Relius Clover from Blazblue exists.

Why is that robotto kun roping my nancy? Stop it

He knows how to use his rod that's for sure.

Out of curiosity, do people who don't know anything about kana recognize the most common things from these fan arts like ナナチ and んな?

I am going to STROKE Bondrewd's TAIL!

Help!!!

MiA sold about 5k copies in the first week.

Let's see how it'll do in the 2nd week. If it doesn't go up to 7.5k, S2 won't be looking too likely.

News should come out in the next day or 2.

Unless you are an oversized Bun, he is not interested.

I'll put a bunny costume on and then as I'm stroking his tail I'll reveal myself for a funny prank.

what are they selling and how do i buy it immediately

BDs. Doubt you'd buy it, it's ~$120.

They all look like squiggles to me, what do they mean?

I guess that answers my question. I just figured since some things are present on like almost every single fan art people would start recognizing some of the words.

>not knowing Nanachi and nnaaa

How does japan's market stay afloat with such outrageous prices?

It's funny because MiA BDs are the cheapest there are. They wanted to make it affordable, but it's still "too expensive".

>Outrageous
>Japan

Bitch visit any boutique street on holidays in popular western towns, its 90% hordes of japs and chinese buying everything like locusts.

Sales of other merchandise, which is also why even if it doesn't sell much more than 5k it could still get a season 2.

Seeing as the first Nanachi figure sold out completely almost immediately that's not even that unreasonable if the rest of the announced figures continue to sell like that.

I wouldn't know the difference between any of the east asian alphabets if you slapped me in the face with it

I have to be told what it is before I can start recognizing it. Otherwise it always just stay incomprehensible and unrecognizable.

Japanese is pointy or curvy, Chinese is square and Korean has lots of circles.
Thai looks like it was created by aliens.

>Japanese is pointy or curvy
Which japanese? There's three of them and you can never guess which one they are using or what they should actually look like so you can use one of those "draw the squiggly, receive translation" (that don't work anyway)

One is curvy (hiragana), one is pointy (katakana) and the third is a ripoff of Chinese (kanji), but you can still tell it's Japanese based on the presence of the former two and that they aren't usually as square as actual Chinese.

...

I wonder if 43 was delayed to fit in the bun/moth ochinchin comparison scene that was teased last time

Happen to have a quick identification guide for those three? And sites where you can draw them by mouse and receive a translation?

Just go to /djt/.

>hi /djt/, lemme just dump 50 images worth of untranslated porn and pester you for a translation because i've so far managed to find Gungir, The Holy Grail, the Ark of the Covenant, Atlantis, a functioning alien spaceship with FTL capabilities, the demonstration of the Riemann Zeta Function and the Theory of Everything but i haven't been able to find a single site where i can just draw the japanese characters and receive a translation
I have a feeling that might not work too well.

I don't think anyone cares enough about making a kana draw recognition website when it takes literally 1 day to learn the whole thing.

Plenty of those for kanji though. Most will be more accurate if you have a decent notion of stroke order which I doubt you do, but it's still better than nothing.

...

>I don't think anyone cares enough about making a kana draw recognition website
>Plenty of those for kanji though.
Ok, then how do i recognize a hiragana from a katakana from a kanji? Happen to have a image or something as a cheat sheet?

If it looks very simple and round, chances are it's hiragana. If it looks very simple and edgy with more straight lines, chances are it's katakana. If it looks even slightly more intricate then it's probably kanji.

There are plenty of simple kanji though like if you followed what I just said you'd think 上 is katakana when it's a kanji. But really it's not like you are actually interest in being accurate if you are asking someone else how to recognize kana from kanji.

Use google and search for their alphabets u fucking degenerate. It takes like a week of practice to start slowly reading kana.

>But really it's not like you are actually interest in being accurate if you are asking someone else how to recognize kana from kanji.
It's important because i'm still salty about losing 13 hours of my life trying to get a kanji recognition website to interpret a single character that in the end turned out to be not-kanji, or maybe it was kanji but it was drawn by the author in a way that wasn't recognizable by the program

Death of the author doesn't quite apply here, user. If a fan translator takes away the ambiguity of something the author kept ambiguous on purpose he is stealing away the possibility of the reader to interpret that aspect of the work. Whether or not Tsukushi kept Nanachi's ambiguous on purpose doesn't matter, but the translator is assigning her sex as female and thus leaves no room for interpretation.

what was it

The character? Hell if i remember
The site?
kanji.sljfaq.org/
Also tried i2ocr.com/ but it was even worse

But i guess this is going far too off topic

I need somebody

I thought this was an argument about weather people who insist nanachi is a certain gender despite what the author says are right to do so.

Use google translates draw tool

As far as I'm aware it was about a specific fan translator assigning female pronouns to Nanachi. If we're simply talking about people insisting on one or the other, then yes, I do think death of the author applies. It's left ambiguous and whether or not that was intentional (we can say it was due to the tweet) doesn't really matter. Both interpretations are valid.

Reg is baby genos

Just go out there and at least learn katakana and hiragana, there's only like 80 something symbols between the two, many of which look the same between the two systems anyway.

Of course you also need to learn the diacritics and diagraphs which might have been part of what was throwing you off.

Reg isn't a jobber.

>spending 13 hours to figure out a word

Why not ask someone in the translation thread or make a thread on /q/?

>many of which
You have an interesting concept for the word "many".

No it's more like I have an interesting concept of "look the same".

I need nanachi's tail in my mouth NOW

You are talking to guy who doesnt understand the difference between gana and kana at the first glance.

Stop posting this in every thread. Genos is JUST a try hard.

I'm sorry but even if you have retardation and you are going through big stretches to say some of them look the same to satisfy your stupid argument, you'll arrive at maybe 10-15 characters at most. That is still not "many" when you have close to 100 total. In what world is 1/10 of the total considered "many"?

Help!!!

Bend over

Reg belongs to Faputa!

It must be very hard to properly translate the gender ambiguity to english, so it is ok if they choose a gender. Take in mind that the other characters are the ones saying nanachi's gender, not Nanachi herself, so it could be understood as reg, riko and brondew assuming things, just like we are doing now.

I doubt he'll ever forget the navel pierce

10-ish symbols in both systems that look similar at first glance plus more if you understand how they were both derived from the same source is 20%+ of the symbols. That's a pretty fair chunk.

It's awkward but using they/them is perfectly functional and doesn't take away from the ambiguity.

>if you understand how they were both derived from
If you need to understand where they derived from in order to connect them instead of just looking at them, then they don't look the same to begin with which means it has absolutely no relevance to this conversation. The fact you fail to realize that tells me much by itself.

I'm sure she would be willing to kiss it in order to make him feel better.

Not him, but I just tried to see how many I could find similar character from one table of 46 characters, and I found 14 (note that I counted that much because I can see the similarity since I'm used to them, but for that same reason, I intentionally disregarded some that was a bit of a stretch, so I would have counted more)
In any case, that's between a quarter and a third.
I would consider that "many".

Also, I should precise that I have no idea what they are derived from.

You're just retarded and don't have basic learning skills or you're just making excuses because you're too lazy for something that isn't that hard..

Look up the difference between "of" and "for".

Yeah it can be used, but as you said it is super awkward and doesn't look good at all.

Nothing some sniffing and molesting can't fix

This gets posted and called out every thread, I'm sure that user is aware of it.
Could be an attempt to keep away ESL shitposters by making them think the author openly promotes his pedophilia

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

>he does not promote it

Post smoler bun.

You cant.

DERU!!!

I will step on Faputa and peel Reg from her lifeless body.

Wouldn't Reg also be squashed?

Looking at the Ozen fight, he is unsquashable.

Well if you stepped on both, wouldn't Reg's body protect Faputa from being squished?
