Let's assume that there's 100% proof that God exists. How can you justify cucking yourself to God? How can you live with yourself knowing there is a higher being and yet you're suppressing your desire to confront and surpass him?

That's absurd. The existence of God already prevents me from having free will. An omnipotent God would know what choice I'd make even before I was born. If he allowed the choice to be made, then it's because it's in his will. If he doesn't allow it, then I wouldn't make it. Or else, God is not omnipotent, and if he isn't omnipotent, there's no sense in worshipping a God like that.

But scripture makes clear that God does not "just erase" sin. He values justice and demands a penalty be paid for it.
Hence the need for Christ's sacrifice on the cross as an act of substitutionary atonement. And only Christ could accomplish that because he was without sin.
