Instantly Eastern California gets control of it's state government which now would reflect it's interests in state policy. Also it would get two US Senators to reflect it's far more conservative views in the Senate. It would loose no house members, since its population would remain same. Even the loss of a house member would be worth the control of the state government--which would be converted from libshit nightmare of gimmedats and lefty blue sky bullshit to a thriftier, agriculture and suburbs and hard-working white people government.
