Thanks to the Saika thread today, ironically. Also fuck you, manga counts now.

Good taste, user.

Cropping images is the highest form of art there is

...

...

...

...

Followed closely by the subgenre of speech-bubble clipping, of course!

A personal favorite of mine

Feel free to make your own

Keep in mind: anime characters often sport tiny mouths that make it difficult to discern their expressions at thumbnail-level. Make sure your reaction images have a strong read!

...

No

...

You say that posting a reaction image with a strong read.

...

...

...

Yes. I was merely disagreeing with your statement.

...

...

...

...

So you're in favor of reaction faces that you can barely make out? I don't understand.

...

...

...

...

I am. It's not that hard to move your mouse over the image so it expands. You don't even need to click on it.

...

...

...

...

You might as well put your reaction image under a spoiler for how silly that is. Reaction faces are supposed to be an extension of the text, and muddled reaction images are like typing in 8pt Papyrus.

...

So you are also against images with text, gifs and webms then because they normally need you to click or hover your mouse over to see the full image?

I should start collecting mugshots again.

No, I'm against traditional reaction faces that fail on the thumbnail level. If you don't need text or animation or any extra details, you might as well go for a properly-cropped, easy-to-make-out expression

It's full of smug ones, give me one to express sadness and desperation. Maybe a cute loli crying.

Why would you need to express sadness on Sup Forums?

...

What is this expression trying to convey?
