Pavel Grudinin - businessman turned communist candidate, fairly popular. What you would call a champagne socialist.
Ksenia Sobchak - famous journalist, TV host and media person. Daughter of Anatoly Sobchak, mayor of Saint Petersbourg. Liberal. "Candidate against everyone".
Sergey Baburin - nationalist, was in the State Duma, defended the White House(in Moscow) and was in opposition to Yeltsin.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky - nationalist libdem, ran for president many times, known for his unique rhetoric, a living meme.
Grigory Yavlinsky - leader of Yabloko, liberal, was in the State Duma and the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersbourg, suggests numerous economic reforms.
Boris Titov - supports small business, economic reforms. Has the legion d'honneur award, in 2014 was in the Russian-Chinese relations and friendship commitee. His slogan is "What about Titov?"
Maxim Suraykin - communist, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communists of Russia.
>Vladimir Zhirinovsky >In August 2016, Zhirinovsky prayed for the Republican presidential election nominee, Donald Trump, whose antics were similar to Zhirinovsky's but different in backgrounds, to defeat Hillary Clinton, who he considered dangerous, in order to take his party's ideology global. He also expressed his desire to test his DNA to determine whether Trump and Zhirinovsky were related
Eh, i personally greatly dislike Navalny, his practices are questionable at best. He takes donations and does almost nothing, changes protest places the night before the protest and disrupts festivals. He loses every debate and his supporters are mostly schoolchildren and self hating russians. His only achievement is the 27 of may protest, which is participated in, but that lead to nothing.

world war is a meme. Never happend

the man has a business empire built on strawberries
Unironically Putin. Seems better to stick with the evil you know, and Putin isn't even that bad. Just don't vote for a communist. I think we all know how that works out.
Our media is pushing the "Russia did X" thing where they blame your country and Putin for literally everything bad that happens. Cat stuck in a tree? Putin did it. Water in the shower this morning wasn't warm enough? It's Kremlin hackers in the water pipes! Having an electrical brown-out and flickering lights? Well it's probably Russians, and not the nigger diversity hires at DTE fucking with the lines out back.
They saved him from the embarasment of getting less votes that Ksenia. Now he at least can still pretend to be the oppressed true opposition in western media at least.
it's still a totally extra-judicial 90s style lawless estrangement of a candidate. this was obviously done BECAUSE he was a threat, and had organic support. Sobchak is the worst of the worst. Her father was killed by putin, who she now works for as controlled opposition.
Just do not make him a martyr, he was a criminal. This is also true of Nemtsov. But they were killed by a criminal regime.

Strawberry fields forever, you say?

Only his dad was a jew, so he is not a jew himself.

can you please redpill me on nemtsov? my mom is obsessed with him, and hates putin because of the murder. im inclined to distrust him because of his support for yeltsin and the fact that he was on a show with anthony bourdain (known CIA operative and shill) i dont really know that much about him other than that my mother thinks he's a saint.
Zachary Martin
There's not a single candidate screaming to lock the oligarchs up? Why not? Seems like an easy win.
my b. I like what he says about russian language needing to be preserved. I dont like how english words are used more and more in place of existing russian ones. His closeness and loyalty to putin's ring is what makes me not trust him at all.
he's a left-wing populist with some right-wing talking points on immigration restriction kind of a mix betwen Bernie and Trump I think he might have a shot at something like governorship later
Noah Stewart
Our "elections" are fucking pointless. I'd rather watch some anime instead of wasting time on this farce desu.
I can only wonder who could handle the western accusations and the relationships within Asia (including M.E.) like Putin does. Yes, he seems to be rather fucked-up when it comes to russian internal affairs, but externally speaking, none of those losers could stand a chance against the "Muh Russha" narrative and they'd backstab Assad in an instant if the globalist west would dictate so just to avoid a WW3 with Russia (And Putin ain't playin' that game like a bitch)
John Stewart
Nemtsov was a threat to Putin because in comparison to, say, Navalny, he was a real political figure. He used to work as a governor of one of the regions in the 90s, knew many oligarchs and Yeltsin and his family personally and was in open opposition to Putin
>pic related russian elections 2018 (putin in the middle)
>Ksenia Sobchak >In 2015, Sobchak said that if there was ever the possibility of political persecution against her, she had thought about emigration to London or getting an Israeli passport.

He sounds like someone I'd like as well then. Is he different from Putin in his political approach to the rest of Europe?
I hope relations will be better in the future. Russia and the rest of Europe should work together.
Wish Russia well in the World Cup! You drew kind of an easy group. Was that vote rigged as well? :p
at least they make it seem like an election there, our current president was sent from Brussels with no election at all and she only agreed to it after the EU still pays her 20k euros a month for the next 5 years. And now the hypocrites are mocking the Russian elections in the papers.
Ethan Bailey
Yeltsin's ally and the same accomplice in crimes, participated in the operation of the "receiver", organized a "treatment" Sobchak's than saved his ass from prison and do not even stammer that he did not know the role of Sobchak and Puti the way in drug trafficking in St. Petersburg.
And this is the very first thing I remember
Josiah Rodriguez
he supports keeping Crimea, but generally it looks like he wants to focus on the domestic issues like healthcare, welfare for the elederly and stuff The group looks easy but Uruguay might be a problem
Jonathan Young
basically it's just candidate bios, year of birth and residence/party Putin's is "Moscow, president of Russia, independent"
Aaron Peterson
Honestly, I believe Putin is going to win. However, Putin also has a fair shot--and you never know--Putin could win in a political upset.
Thomas Bell
>be navalny >constantly break the law >get arrested and get a slap on the wrist everytime >go whine to western media >"oh no, how cruel, just because he's in opposition" >repeat again and again >actual Russians in Russia probably don't care
