Depends. In terms of songs i would say Macross, but Im@s already stole most of the singers, so they're interchangeable.
If you consider other aspects, like the girls themselves, their interactions, motivation, and development, Locodol is easily the best.

Idolm@ster is a better constructed show, but I personally prefer Love Live because I find the characters and humor a lot more entertaining. It's worth the occasion awkward moments that Im@s is largely devoid of.

Note: Haven't seen CG, so they don't apply here. Sunshine and Side M do.

CG is utter shit (boring, a lot unnecessary drama). OG Im@s has better characters than LL that's for sure. LL has yuri pandering though

when it comes to music LL have some really nice songs but Im@s have them to and in bigger variety.

In terms of anime (because I'm not an expert on Idol music and I don't really care) 2011 Idolm@ster is much better than Love Live. Its more fun, handled drama better, animation is better, didn't need to use fugly 3D for the performances and the characters are more fun and likeable in general.
