Bernard-jou isn't that big a flop proportionally, since it was a single-season short.

0.11 Fractale, nice.

It hurts to see Majimoji Rurumo in that list.

>Warau Salesman
The irony is hilarious, life sure is strange.

Those are even worse:
*Shin Strange Plus (Seven, Summer 2014) - 70

*Urawa no Usagi-chan (A-Real, Spring 2015) - 70

*Bakuman: 3rd Series (JC Staff, Fall 2012) - 72

*Million Doll (Asahi Production, Summer 2015) - 72

*Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu (EMT², Summer 2016) - 86

How many of those anime not only you watched but enjoyed even?

I am a bit surprised Alderamin did so poorly, character designs aside.

>*Bakuman: 3rd Series (JC Staff, Fall 2012) - 72
what the fuck

I watched at least part of 5 of the shows on this list, but I only really liked Crime Edge.

Also, flop thread feels incomplete without Fractale.

Holy shit never realized that Bakuman did so badly.

Interesting that this list has more good stuff than if you would do the same with the most successful shows.

Rurumo was a perfectly enjoyable anime, with a couple of really great episodes (sunflowers / cats).

Hipster detected

does that mean it only sold 97 copies?

>*Bakuman: 3rd Series (JC Staff, Fall 2012) - 72
Huh, I always thought Bakuman did decently

>Bakuman: 3rd Series
How is that possible?

>calling anyone on Sup Forums a hipster

Probably because Bakuman ended, and they didn't liked the ending.

Word. It had one of the best delicious browns too.

Aku no Hana was an interesting experiment that deserved a better fate. I particularly remember the great music.

Also I've seen
>orange
It started good enough but went annoying fast. Full of QUALITY.
Glass wearing guy and his girl were great.
>Stella Jogakuin Koutouka C3-bu
I can see why it would be in a list like this, but watching it with Sup Forums was a pretty enjoyable.
>Shiki
Never knew it was such a big flop, especially considering how popular it is.
>Taboo Tattoo
I remember dropping this shit without even finishing the first episode.
>Majimoji Rurumo
As said before it doesn't really deserve to be in this list.
>Tokyo ESP
Huge turd. Should have dropped but watched the whole thing.

Yeah, I wonder about Shiki too.
That madman managed to make his old work animated again.

>*,309 Jitsu wa Watashi wa

can't believe it's this high

>Nanbaka
Thank God that flopped. Shit was insultingly terrible.

>Majimoji Rurumo
But that was an actually good anime.
It doesn't deserve this shit.

Jitsu wa Watashi wa did not deserve such a shitty anime.

Aku no Hana was better than Bakemonogatari and Madoka Magica,

With the exceptions of Argovollen and Taboo Tattoo I have not heard of any of these

>Aku no Hana
Why is this on the list? It was fantastic

How could you have not heard of Shiki, Aku no Hana or C3-bu while being on Sup Forums for more than a few years?

Well, the ending was shit after all

What did happen? I never read it and dropped after episode 1.

Nooo... Rurumo. Sadface.

moritaka became mentally retarded and spent the rest of his life shitting in diapers

Shiki truly deserved better

everybody knows these charts mean literally nothing right

>elDLIVE
I forgot this even had an anime.

Argevollen was great, fuck everyone

You'd think at least fans of the old anime would buy into it but maybe they've moved on.

>Shiki
I can't fucking believe it.

Expected Rokka no Sales.

>That madman managed to make his old work animated again
Who are you talking about?

>*,272 Shiki
>*,292 Tenkyou no Alderamin

>*,*97 Warau Salesman
Get FUCKED Moguro. EAT SHIT

The author
and she's like 50

Bare in mind that Bakuman was only available for rental services hence why it sales are so small

I didn't knew Shik's original work got multiple adaptations, its not mentioned anywhere

>Warau Salesman New

Good, that show was fucking garbage.

Natsuyuki was 501

Not him, but the Shiki author also wrote Twelve Kingdoms.

>watched
orange
>enjoyed
alderamin
shiki

>Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge
What the shit, that got adapted?

>267 Stella Jogakuin Koutouka C3-bu
I still miss Yuria

Majimoji is the only one I enjoyed

I bet there's more contenders, we just don't have enough data.

By not knowing what they are when people post their pics?

BOOM

Just adding to the chorus of Rurumo doesn't deserve to be there.

Nigger Aku no Hana created a shitstorm on Sup Forums for a year

They're newfags, like 80% of Sup Forums by now.

>*,388 Majimoji Rurumo
Explain this bullshit, Japan

wow all those tittles were shit so yeah, i see no problem there.

shit show, shit characters, no selling point, there you go.

It is pretty weird. I bet if it aired this season it would do better, it just got overshadowed for some odd reason.

it was garbage

I god it was the season with Glasslip.

I enjoyed Shiki, was this show too god for japs?

That goddamn OP though

Valvrave was a bigger shitstorm

Christ what an awful season that was. The only good thing was Nozaki-kun.

PAATO PAATO

>Blade dance
>Zankyou no Terror
>Rail Wars
>Glasslip
>Tokyo ESP
>Argevollen
>Momo Kyun Sword
>SAO
>bunch of fujoshits
AOTS

>tfw your Spring AOTS doesn't even make it to triple digit sales

How the fuck, like I knew it wouldn't make it in the top 10 for spring but I figured it'd make like 4-500 average.

Shiki is a very popular novel, it was the inspiration of many works that came after.

For anime that got live actions adaptations or was based on a shounen manga it doesn't mean much. It's not an indicator of overall failure.

Where's 18if? Or did it not even sell enough to get on the list

>*,272 Shiki

But I loved this a lot... I still have some of the gifs and reaction faces of this when it aired.

I think ~2014-2015 were low points again, after anime got better since 2011 (2008-09 were fucking crap). It's getten better again at the moment I hope it rests for a while.
And don't mention that obligatory okay or good anime per season, it needs more for a season to qualify as "good".

What manga time kirara anime flopped, agian?

Sales don't matter, it's not an original anime and the original material it's based on is already popular.
It served its purpose.

Sansha Sanyou

>Tenkyou no Alderamin
Oof, I guess no sequel then. Maybe I should catch up on the manga already.

nah, I think it was doujin work?

>not liking sabagebu or roukujouma
That summer was at least good for comedy

>loved Alderamin
>went to download the LNs
>only a handful are translated

...

I'm still slightly upset that Aku no Hana season 2 will never happen, I enjoyed the manga until the timeskip and I really enjoyed the "anime". The rotoscoping was a great idea to keep the creepy/uneasy feeling the manga had, and seeing the rest of the story fuck the timeskip chapters in that style would have been great.
I mean, I can see why it would flop, I just feel it's a little bit of a shame.

I dropped it several chapters into the timeskip when nothing was happening. Mind spoiling me how it ended?

>shiki
>nanbaka
ok, im a newfag with jjust 150 shos but, BUT
>nips shittaste confirmed

>mc gets a new gf (he steals her from another guy)
>rapist gets a new bf that looks the same as MC
>mc and new gf go see crazy and make up
>end
That's it more or less, from what I remember

Oh wow, what a fucking disappointment, I remember dropping it around the first part you mentioned. Thanks for summing up.

You telling me there are more than 80 people in the world who bought the Berserk 2016 BDs?
Berserkfags really will eat up anything.

Yeah, everyone normalized. Which I guess is the point of the manga but still, it was boring.

It really could have been condensed into a few chapter-long epilogue or something, there was no reason for it to go as long as it did. Still, the ride was a damn good one.

>309 Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa

Fuck everyone who don't appreciate this piece of art. I mean the manga, the anime is bloody garbage

I remember Nozaki-kun being a great seller along with SAO II, Fate/Kaleif Liner , and KanColle (obviously).

>people still think anime BD sales matter for manga adaptations
The entire intent of making an anime for a manga series is to serve as an ad for the manga and raise the manga sales. As long as the manga gets a sales boost after the anime, then it served its purpose.
Besides, only very few anime adaptations of manga sell well. Studios and producers know by now that making anime of manga isn't likely to sell well.

>Jazz Order
>All the Ramen
It's not fair. They were good for what they were!

I don't remember but did the anime at least help boost the manga sales?
