Golden parachutes = risk doesn't exist

Business owners deserve all the rewards of ownership because they face all of its ris-

Executives aren't the owners. The shareholders are the owners, and they either approve these bonuses or, as is more usual, just throw the voting forms in the bin.

Yeah let's give that money to 31,000 losers who haven't tried finding other jobs.

>run a company into the ground
>give yourself money because you lost your own job
Ok

>16M among 31K employees=~$500
It's literally nothing

We don’t have a capitalist economy, we have a loot and pillage economy.

This is what leads to people being hung from lightpoles.

Figure out how to compete against Walmart, I'll wait.

CEO is not an owner though. He is appointed by the board of directors. Board of directors are elected by shareholders.
But I agree, this is fucking immoral. Like that dumb bitch who ran Yahoo into the ground. I don't care if it's a contract, it's immoral. Both CEO and board of directors should bear some consequences.

>executive bonuses
learn to read

Irrelevant, you failed, you don't get 16 million.
Someone should do a thorough audit of these companies. These contracts are just plain offensive.

This. Meanwhile liberals scoffed at much larger companies spending hundreds of millions or billions on employee bonuses that often amounted to thousands of dollars per full-time worker, calling them "peanuts." Only in the mind of a liberal.

Majority of the executives probably had salary and compensation that was tied up in Toys-R-Us stock, which is now worthless. Not saying it's right, but it is what it is.

they succeeded at getting $16 million

It is peanuts compared to what they're saving in taxes. They could have easily given everyone proper raises but they'd rather spend all that money on executive salaries and stock buybacks.

You’re a fucking retarded shill

Excutives can be shareholders and vote only in their own self interest.

Do me a favor and check the real wage growth in your country from 1980.
Then check whose wages have grown, and how much.
Why are you always so quick to shit on the workers?
Why do you confuse "liberal" with socialist?
90 out of 100 times, it's not the workers who fuck shit up.
These business practices and economic trends are not sustainable.

We did when we wrote legislation against monopolies into our foundational doctrines as a nation

Jews circumvented these laws and politicians let them, it needs to end

^this guy gets it

Many companies raised wage for their lowest paid workers to $15. What would you consider a proper wage? I mean that's what you guys have been fighting for, right? Walmart raised the starting wage for store associates to $11/hr, in addition to other benefits and a one time bonus. Walmart is the largest private sector employer in the US and this positively impacted around $1 million workers.

The Fortune 500 company I work for is giving each full time employee $2500 worth of company stock as a direct result of tax legislation. Worth noting is that upper level management is excluded from the program.

I don't know what more you people expect. I think it's great that many did, but businesses didn't have to directly share any of that windfall with employees. They could have just as easily kept it all. I mean that's all they care about right, profits?

i bought mario bros 3 at toys r us on release, it was a magical day.. i still remember that yellow box.

>run a company into the ground

The fuck? Toys R us has been around for 70 years. Are you upset that apothecaries dont exist too?

I bought dreamcast, that came with Sonic Adventure and then my mom bought me Soul Caliber too

>Why are you always so quick to shit on the workers?
because most of the "workers" in this country are foreign invaders

That's probably like a weeks salary to the poorfag cashiers who are losing their jobs, actually.

I work at TRU. A few stores call every day asking the employees to come and apply. I have one coworker who's been here for 20 years and says she's gonna take a month or so off. She's about 400 lbs and black and she says she doesn't feel like she wasted the last 20 years because she learned how to count.

>ITS PEANUTS!!!
>as he comments in a thread about a bankrupted businesses

What do you think these franchises cost to operate in a year? you fucking idiot

Rich people spend money on creating jobs. Poor people spend money on headphones

yeah, and that same individual spends $500 a month on make-up booze and weed, guaranteed

share it under teh lower half only, and it's $1k each. And anyway, $500 is a lot if, per those recent stats that are mentioned every 5 seconds, half of Americans don't have $500 in the bank.

>every broke wageslave is a nigger

no, stop. I'm fortunate enough to make decent money now, but I've worked garbage tier $5/hr diswashing and gas jockey gigs and I wasn't leasing a Chrysler or buying bricks of weed.

i was 17 so i saved up money from my summer job to get that dreamcast on 9/9/99 as well, think i got it at target though

>rich person uses the same working cellphone theyve had for 3+ years
>broke nigger spends his last $900 on a contract re-up and the new iphone

hurr durr capitalism is slavery

>These contracts are just plain offensive
Then don't fucking sign them

It all depends on context. According to liberals, a $1k bonus that came from tax reform is peanuts, even to poor, working class people. But suggest that they have to spend $25 on a voter ID, and all of the sudden that's some obscene amount of money that no poor person could ever afford.

Truly, some of the most hypocritical windbags on the face of the Earth.

I dont care about your shit greasy life, all I know is 98.9% of the people ive encountered in my who have money problems over-spend and its that easy.

>mostly all of my managers had substance abuse issues that they didnt mind throwing money at every other day, but would bitch when they needed new tires every 4 years
>18+ year old children complaining about insurance and college costs with $10k+ of tattooed on their forearms
>Kids complaining about rent while they smoke $100 of weed and drink another $50 of booze ina week

The only thing your faggot socialist government does is supply the retarded class with options since they choose to piss them all away, and then trick you into thinking its absolutely necessary. Fuck, here in America we have college kids coming from $350k houses who use EBT cards

itt: capitalist bootlickers

i get the same pleasure from imagining CEOs swinging from lightpoles as most of Sup Forums gets from imagining antifa and black men doing the same.

the thing we can both agree on is jewish bankers i guess

Well, except "executives" are NOT the owners. Shareholders are.

I was 10 :l

Nah, I dont mind that a CEO who employs 500,000 people are billionaires

>apothecaries dont exist
Yes they do, they have just been rebranded

Attached: GNC.jpg (1426x950, 540K)

well the same thing can be said about toy stores than nig nog

ya, pretty much. people who hate executives receiving money after store closings don't realize that the franchisees will likely use the money to invest in other business ventures

>businessowners
>executives

>give raises to the people out of the job because we filed for chapter 11
I am convinced you are a bot. You are talking like this is some company that has a future. Nigga they went bankrupt. There is no raise because there is no job.

There are multiple people in this thread talking like some AI bot that just picked up words in OPs post and are posting like this is any other company that will be around. TRU is done. Finite. Kaput.

This shit is downright creepy.

>have items they dont carry (which is a lot)
>expand past toys, make games or even parks like disney

they could have done a lot, why defend their selfishness and failure when it couldve been you that lost your job?

You don't have to be a union lawyer to know how stupid this post is.

>have items they dont carry (which is a lot)

You realize specialization is exactly what killed Toys-R-Us, right? All specialty big box stores are declining or going under, Toys-R-Us, Sports Authority, Best Buy, etc. Retail will NEVER be able to compete with the selection of online shopping. The only reason companies like Walmart and Target are still in businesses is because of the convenience of buying everyday household items and groceries in person. But even their days are numbered and it's only a matter of time before this stuff is delivered to your door. Amazon and other startups are already make inroads in this market.

nah, proper stores will have a big comeback, maybe not as giant superstores, bur more of the small, specialized, local kind

They've been competing with Walmart for decades.

The real problem is Amazon.

>Make min wage
>Sell toys to more intelligent children
> Drop out of middle school believing that retail is a career
>clean up literal shit daily
but at least they don't drug test
These losers can't possibly expect a severance package

Attached: pol summed up.png (865x826, 1.19M)

lol no they had an extremely healthy online presence plus a deal with amazon.
The problem is that basically got bought out and someone used the value of the company to get a loan to buy it (think of it like a home mortgage). and they couldn't pay their new debt.

really half of americans dont have 500 in the bank?

and here i thought i was poor with only 18,000 and a car to my name

They literally just spend what they have. If this lady was poorer, she'd be living in a dump for $600/mo and have no car payment and a shitty $2k clunker instead. But she has more income, so her lifestyle adjusts to take advantage of it, and she's left with nothing for savings. It's pretty interesting how that works. Most poor people especially in the US just have no patience for savings/delays gratification and can't think more than a paycheck ahead.

Why should only the bottom half get paid?

>$500 is nothing

Yeah let them eat cake bro
