Being in nature seems to keep the virus from being activated, while being surrounded by and living in man-made structures, especially ones made of stone I noticed, seems to allow the virus to activate and flourish. I believe it's due to how an urban environment affects us, usually making us more depressed. It's the reason why people hate desk jobs so much because being in a tight knit cubicle in an all gray office building naturally depresses and tires people. Meanwhile, being out in nature tends to make people happier on average and act more in line with their instincts.

I've spent a lot of my life living out in the country in fact. Never really lived in the city, more so suburbs, but I do definitely enjoy being around nature more. The people aren't insufferable like they are in the city too. Rural folks are so much friendlier and mentally sound. Plus I like the way that country folk tend to have a natural work ethic and don't blame everything on everyone else.
