No it's not. You have a manpower reserve that at least saw a rifle and knows how to use it. Finnish terrain is also awful for any invader. It's not a desert like Iraq, where technology, firepower and air supremacy make it impossible to resist. How did a small army become the largest most powerful fighting force on the planet? Magic. No but seriously. As long as you keep the traditions education and structure intact you can inflate it as big as necessary in existential crisis. Canada pulled its weight per capita in WW1 and WW2 and surely would again if it were in its own best interest. I work with NATO alot, I am not a soldier but govt contractor and the Canadians are some solid people. The European countries are either so stuck in their doctrine that they cant think independently to solve a problem or they are completely helpless and need the americans to do everything for them and treat the whole thing as a joke. However the canadians are literally the only military i know if something happens they will figure it out and get things sorted. also they are some decent people and i would hang out with them any day of the week. but its whateves man you have your opinions
