Just in South Wales? Cardiff Castle, Raglan Castle and Caerphilly Castle. There's also an old Roman settlement at Caerleon that's pretty cool, it has a mini amphitheatre and everything. Best castles are up North though. Harlech, Caernarfon, Conwy, etc.

Caerphilly and Pontypridd are nice, maybe I can combine both with a day trip to Cardiff. Thank you guys as well for castle advice. Will check Caerphilly cheese out too. I like british cheese, but I must say I have a little cheese fatigue since I bought 200 grams of Stilton recently and it was just too much to handle.

Yeah it’s actually ok. Barry’s got a bad reputation from years back when it was a literal shithole. You still get chavs but they’re quite harmless nowadays. This is one of the reasons it’s gotten better. Used to be a lot of beer fuelled hooliganesque violence. Have seen some crazy brawls in my time.
