I'm from Monroe county. I work 10 minutes from Tupelo. Cecil Cantrell is a fucking kingpin of drug distribution here. I've witnessed an ex-cop that has been at my fucking HOME with my train wreck of a mother in law get busted with thousands of dollars of firearms and a large quantity of pure meth(Ice) and he was and still is on the streets a free man in less than a week. He gave ZERO red flags that he would be involved with any drugs or illegal activities. I can spot a fucking methhead from a mile away and he didn't fit the bill at all.
About a year ago a young man came up missing and his truck was abandoned on a back road. They searched and found nothing for a month until he turned up in a pond very close to his truck. A lot of rumors that the man had drug ties as a runner were going around and the mother apparently recorded a conversation between her and Cecil Cantrell and he basically told her to fuck off and that they'd done all they could do. He arrests small time dealers and addicts and paints them as big drug busts. There was a man in my hometown who embezzled thousands from the railroad and got off with a light sentence. That same man was later robbed by white trash because of his son running his mouth about money and weed in a safe and would even take some out of the safe to give to people for rides around town. 300k was stolen and only 200k was found. He got fucked for claiming he had a handgun stolen as a convicted felon(lol). His hardware store was later raided where pounds of weed were found. The police station isn't even a 1/4 mile from that hardware store and on the same road. Shit is fucked around here and I've been too intimately close to some of it from my and my wife's shitty family.
