An antagonist who was only a villain due to the circumstances that took place...

An antagonist who was only a villain due to the circumstances that took place, and not only did he survive but thoroughly won and lived happily after whilst making the world a better place.

Fucking rare.

Average show. Older Kudelia and Julieta are mint, glad Gladdy is boning her.

Also compilation movie for season two of Thunderbolt when?

>blocks your path

What's so taboo about railguns?

Space crossbows banned by the space pope

Smalltime

Is IBO suppose to be related to any other Gundam universe?

This shit is rare for gundam too.
>tfw manlet and ophans became stepping stone for him

No

post yfw YATTA

SEED was a mistake

I think it's not just the railgun, but also its amunition.

I want porn of fictional porn.

It's just a rod of metal, no chemical reactions or directed energy. Pure kinetic energy, they said that the railgun could launch other munitions though.

>An antagonist who was only a villain due to the circumstances that took place

Before or after he started wars for fun and hired mercenaries to escalate said wars even further?

I love a competent antagonist.

Just finished watching g-reco last night what the fuck was going on in that show

Fuck.

Nick Klim and Mick Jack being the best. USA.

He is chuuni edgelord mary sue who looks smart only because everyone stupid.

Didn't he abused his power and then acted like he was following what Macky wanted to achieve? Isn't he the worse person to put into the position of controlling the army?

Can they over do cowgirl position?

Well there's also reverse cowgirl...

>An antagonist who was only a villain due to the circumstances that took place, and not only did he survive but thoroughly won and lived happily after whilst making the world a better place.

G Trainwreco

>Timeskip happens
>She's still ugly as fuck

Based Garma is forever hot though

Because bringing in a realistic, practical option to thoroughly crush the opposition in a Gundam series breaks immersion.

The underlying conceit of the series is that all notion of practical warfare is thrown out the window in favor of gallant, cool, awesome duels between horribly impractical giant mecha. The moment you introduce something as coldly logical as Dainsleif spam you throw into question why people haven't been fighting like this from the start when it's always been an option over hurr durr humanoid mecha.

Can't wait to Gespenst kick his ass on srw. Make it happens, Banpresto

I am still and will forever be tilted by the fact that Mika wasn't saved from his life of violence.

How is he chuuni? Everything he says and does is pragmatic

Okada can't self-insert if she's too good looking.

Pretty sure his death was inevitable, considering that he's a full cripple thanks to AV system abuse. Normal life was no longer a viable option for him.

I thought Jewdelia was her self-insert

Nevermind the fact that he only ever lived while fighting.

Is Lupus Rex DLC out yet?

That's all the more reason that he should have had a chance at a life after fighting. Being denied even the chance is just too sad to me

I doubt it would have made him happy.

Reminder US military is in development of weaponize atmospheric-kinetic lances..

>dainsleif dragoon
>seed
as expected of that shit.

Imagine his dainsleff being really useless against the likes of Shin Getter and Zeorymer

Rustal is going to be beloved in the years to come. The Gundam community is still divisive about him but most find it refreshing he came out the absolute victor in the end and essentially had the same dream the protagonists were working towards in mind the entire time.

Everybody really is just the same at the end of the day. Even those that benefit from the corruption of their own group loathe the state of affairs and require a revolution of sorts to see things changed.

Based Garma really got the hot looks and the hot Gundam designs in this show.

Even in his laughable edge lord form with the frayed hairline and the burns across his face he looked alright.

No, because he is a politician with some amount of brains. Yes, he didn't have a whole lot of reasons to change the Gjallarhorn at the start of a show because he had seemingly stable and cozy position. But all the bullshit that McGuillis and Tekkadan brought to light showed that actually this positions was becoming severely threatened.

He is not a good guy. He is pragmatic. He have seen that the situation goes to shit and made arrangements to prevent the worst possibilities while securing his position. He may not be a saint but he is also not a retard like McGuillis and understands how to work in a group where not everyone shares the same goals.

Good, mika a shit.

>An antagonist who was only a villain due to the circumstances that took place,
No he was just a generic villain. Used illegal WMD and manipulated the media to hide it.
>and not only did he survive but thoroughly won and lived happily after whilst making the world a better place.
Actually he originally was going to fucking die but Nagai wanted to be edgy for some reason think Tekkadan needed to "pay for their actions" when they were the least offensive thing about the world. Him living and then becoming president of Earth was a huge asspull because there was nothing prior that even hinted that he was doing it to fix the organization.

Most people hate his ass and call out Nagai's/Okada's bullshit reasoning. Everything you just said is immense fanwank. Its funny how the staff in IBO had literally no fucking clue what the audience wanted which lead to low ratings and BD sales dropping.

Yep. He was really no different from the other commanders
He's not really competent. He just used a bullshit tactic. Its also revealed that had word gone out that he used Dainsleifs and would tarnish his reputation.

Pay attention next time user

>The Gundam community is still divisive about him but most find it refreshing he came out the absolute victor in the end and essentially had the same dream the protagonists were working towards in mind the entire time.
No he didn't. Nothing even suggests that he was after the same thing. The epilogue is just an asspull because Okada and Nagai didn't really know what the fuck they were doing.
Man he was such a worthless character

Because at the end of the day people just want to blow off steam.
Giving them big shiny robot armors to fight each other with lets them let off that steam and also gives the people who are itching for a fight something to do.
It's also away to boost industry.

At the end of the day it's all just busy work for the plebians and a form of assisted suicide.

Only when someone who's truly fucked and evil decides to take over and they forget that they are in fact human as well and think nothing of using weapons of ultimate destructive potential do people really go insane with the battles.
At that point the idea of mutually assured self destruction combined with not caring if they live or die with a bit of being cornered with no other options will take over and well...once you add in the destructive potential of the weapons..you'll get massive genocides of a huge chunk of humanity and animalistic madness.

Even then, normal people with some semblance of humanity will end the people who are trying to destroy everything for shits and giggles behind the scenes.

No society will allow such monsters and fools control for very long.

that was still a great scene for such a mediocre show
>chuuni reveals plan to conquer the stars
>gali gali makes his triumphant return
>rustal's plan falls into place
>that music
so good

The rail gun system was already designed and implemented two generations ago.

The real flavor was the star wars program.
Lazers from space nigga.

And yeah, they exist. They are up there.
Problem is that they're kind of against the geneva conventions. SO they're being "repurposed" into a missle defense system.
And what do you know, a fat little piss ant korean is shitting POTENTIAL NUCLEAR WEAPONS everywhere!

Should have stuck with the cool two gun armor instead of the clusterfuck of silly bullshit it became later.

Protagonists who were only villains due to the circumstances that took place, and not only did they survive but thoroughly won and lived happily after whilst making the world a better place.

Fucking rare.

The Wing boys would be better examples.

Truth be told, I was more frustrated by Mika's ineffectiveness than by the antagonists getting a happy end.
Tekkadan is being taken down bit by bit and he accomplishes nothing, is in fact completely eclipsed by Julieta, who keeps declaring him to be her superior.
It was her that I wanted to see die, not Rustal or Garma. Just put some meaning behind Mika's supposed genius and let him crush her cockpit.

>Man he was such a worthless character
True, he's only in S2 because Okada wants to fuck his VA.

I mean if he came back in order to stop McGillis and fulfill his promise to improve the system so that the world wouldn't make children like him and Tekkadan then it would have been fine but nope he just because a cripple, doesn't even care about his sister and gets with some ugly bitch. Fuck him

I still can't believe that Rustal, Gali and Julietta are still alive. They had more plot armour than the protagonists.

He wasn't a villain though, Anime Suki

SEED saved the franchise from Turn Fail, kindly return to your hivemind, MAHQ.

>Most people hated him
Source, your ass.

>Actually he originally was going to fucking die
Was he? From what I've heard, he was always going to succeed and live. It was Tekkadan that was doomed no matter what.

>From what I've heard, he was always going to succeed and live. It was Tekkadan that was doomed no matter what.
Nagai's original script said that both Tekkadan and GH would kill each other off in the final battle including Kudelia and Okada essentially had to convince he to save Vidar and Juliette until they settled on the ending we got.

Mika wasn't ineffective though. He thoroughly trashed most of his enemies. It's just there's not he can do when his objective isn't to kill someone. A gun is only so useful in situations where you don't need someone dead.

wow, the guy who voiced vidar must have fucked her inside out

>Shino, Lafter, and Azee were intended to die in the S1 finale before Nagai intervened
>Gaelio originally died in S1 and was later resurrected when writing for S2 began because Okada liked his voice, Sakurai (McGillis' VA) would later joke that Matsukaze (Gaelio's VA) formed a relationship with Okada and gave her directions on what to do with his character
>Sakurai also claimed that McGillis' eventual fate/plan was very different from what he'd been told at the end of S1
>Nagai at some point concluded that Tekkadan was genuinely evil and planned for S2 to end with all of them and their associates, Kudelia included, being massacred by Rustal, leading to an apparent civil war within the writing staff over the last 5 episodes
>This got to the point where none of the Tekkadan VAs knew what was happening in a script until they actually started recording
>Nagai's initial designs also would've included no reforms - as in no Mars independence, no half-metal treaty, and no democratic elections on Earth - standing by his initial claims in S1 that IBO's world is politically static and reform will never happen
>After Okada managed to force through the eventual ending, Nagai has gone on record to declare it a false happiness that won't last, that Rustal's men will eventually kill the remaining Tekkadan members, and that Kudelia will eventually be ousted from power when Rustal gets tired of her
>On the other hand he also canonised Shino loving Yamagi back and Kudelia marrying Atra

I heard everyone in Tekkadan dies, including Kudelia. Didn't hear anything about Rustal dying. Or at the very least, Nagai had proposed 6 endings, and the bittersweet one is the only non-'everyone is dead' ending.

considering how tekkadan slowly made me lose any kind of respect for them, i'm honestly glad this is how it all ended.

Orga was a horrible leader, Mikazuki is one of the few gundam protags that doesn't change, this was deserved.

Rustal also died in the original ending.

>no Mars independence, no half-metal treaty, and no democratic elections on Earth
What an edgelord.

I was specifically talking about Rustal here. I never saw anything about him ever dying in the proposed original endings.

>>On the other hand he also canonised Shino loving Yamagi back and Kudelia marrying Atra
Even if I'm okay with that, it was still just damage control and he said it in an event to please fans.

Where? I've read these interviews and i really don't remember reading that Rustal was originally suppose to die.

Fuck off Nagai, may you never work on a large scale project ever again.

Then you need to stop going to Animesuki because it was in the interview. If anycase the ending to the anime was never planned and Rustal becoming president was indeed an asspull.

>Sakurai (McGillis' VA) would later joke that Matsukaze (Gaelio's VA) formed a relationship with Okada and gave her directions on what to do with his character

Based Sakurai shit talking a horny and unprofessional slut.

get mad that you will never ever ruin gundam like i did, nerd.

Which interview, user. You keep saying it but you have yet to offer any proof of said interview that says Rustal is originally suppose to die.

IIRC they were using dud Dainsleif ammo, inferior to that from the Calamity War since it used to be made with the Nano-Laminate Armor. I think Tekkadan gets like, one round of it for Flauros?

>only a villain due to the circumstances that took place
Did you forget about the very first thing he did at the start of season 2?

Is that why there aren't any new episodes?
I know they're monthly or something but the last one was in August.

in hindsight, i don't think i can care about anything he's done, solely because Tekkadan drained any good will i had for them over the course of the second season, which was already in danger after the first season.

I would rage at the ending myself but I find comfort in the fact that pic related is also still alive, operating as a seemingly independent actor, and not interested in forgiving people.
A single gunshot and releasing footage of the Dainsleifs being used is literally all it would take to destroy the "new" GH and set up another bloody conflict of epic (Mars vs Earth tier) proportions.
It works both ways. Rustal haters get to see the sleazebag die a painful death, Rustal lovers get to see him martyred AND to say "we told you so" since one faggot with a gun would have ruined the peace Kudelia worked all her life to create.
Commence Gundam Tier Drama (tm) with unhinged Julietta at the helm of GH and Tekkadan veterans forming the core of Mars Liberation Army.

>Everything he says and does is pragmatic
Tell the soldiers to stand down.I want to see if McGillis can kill me.
Lets stage a war to tarnish McGillis' reputation, but also try to kill him on the battlefield instead of assassinating him.

Holy shit...
What a dumpster fire

>horny and unprofessional slut.
The best kind!

Jesus Christ, who hurt Nagai?

>An antagonist who was only a villain due to the circumstances that took place, and not only did he survive but thoroughly won and lived happily after whilst making the world a better place.
This, Palestine belong to jews and bombing civilians is a fair game in self defense.

Would okada be down for that?
Like dressing up like Almiria and sitting on some random foreigners lap.

Surely such a successful person has more self awareness than to do that, especially at her age.

Okada wants to sit on Matsukaze 's dick.

Is that a yes or a no.
I wish to make her my loli daughter/wife.

Stick to A/Z

No. That adorable slut is mine.
He can sit in the corner and watch me split her tiny perfect body in two.
He can drive her around and buy her things.
Leaving a pregnant woman alone to go around the city? Unthinkable.

Okay, which one of you schmucks posted this in the drawthread?

at least it's confirmed

Yeah, i liked how McGillis and Tekkadan got BTFO. But i would have been mad by the ending if Atra and Mikazuki wouldn't have had a child

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans was a good Gundam show and a very good Japanese anime.
Fight me.

I still don't see any gayness, keep /y/ning

You've never seen anime in your life if you're calling it decent let alone good, lurk more.

Nagai was just trying to please and win over a group of fans but too bad the nips still hate him anyway.

By the end, he realized it was his destiny to die in the battlefield
