If you look at the ways that liberals and conservatives express empathy, conservatives empathize will smaller in groups while liberals empathize with the entire out group, the whole world essentially (which is retarded).

A) somehow able to spread the virus via the pheromone?
B) causing the uninfected women's pheromones to mimic infected pheromones, thereby making males less able to subconsciously discern them apart and helping the virus spread via sexual fluid transfer?

A) I think the virus effects pheromones produced, draws infected together and is offputting to uninfected B) masked by uninfected pheromones would be my guess C) possible, might disorient uninfected women or possibly mimic testosterone to them in order to draw them in and be seen as position of authority/dominant. Each hormone has a gene that corresponds to it and regulates it as well. It seems to me that a virus suppressing certain hormones in the hypothalamus and messing up negative feedback loops is plausible.

I suppose it could be an adenovirus as a shill pointed out. I still think Retro is more likely though, because of the tissues the AAV infect. You'd have to be able to classify it because most of the classifications are about the life cycle (usually how its nucleic acid is stored). Retroviruses have RNA genomes when they're in the virion (virus particle) state, then they reverse-transcribe to DNA after they enter the host cell so they can integrate their genome. I think we can point out traits that fit in with known viral theory, there's a CHANCE it behaves differently due to it's origins, but if it infects humans so pervasively, I'd think it has to follow most of the classifications we've used to define other viruses.
