When did music become so bad?
What changed politically to make this happen?
And yes, pic related is the ENTIRE song. That's all the lyrics.

yes because that song is totally not shit
Whenever pop bands disappeared. say what you want about the pop bands of the 80's and 90's, at the absolute minimum they were a collection of musicians that were able to play instruments together. Now everything can be done on a computer and, I don't know how many of you have noticed, but shows like American Idol and X Factor, have proven that being able to sing isn't much of a talent in and of itself.
1998 onwards
t. born in 1989, I know the exact moment it all went wrong, try to guess
Music is dead and has been for a long time now, it is nothing more than an outright product now than ever before. It strives to be as awful and simplistic as possible now.
Jews
You mad he didn't pick lil windex?
You just don't understand the significance, you old bastard.
Obviously the song is about the excesses of american society.
This is actually proving OP's point. There has always been poison in music, but back then it was recognized as such and only sick people entertained this stuff for more than a minute.
There were also other factors though, this music still required people to play all the instruments and sing it correctly.
But this is now all popular music is.
A few years older than you, when did it go wrong user? And I'd generally agree that popular music is shittier now. But as far as live music goes, and the availability of shit, there is still awesome music being made and it's easy to find. But it's not usually on the radio.
ITT thread people trying desperately to convince themselves that modern music isn't complete degenerative horseshit. They feel immense shame because their standards for music are lower than their IQs.
Music as a whole was never that good in the popular sphere. Back in the sixties, you had the Beatles repeating "I wanna hold your hand" and "love me do" over and over again for minutes at a time, and girls orgasmed at the mere idea of it. Repetitive, boring, easily marketed music for idiots has always been the norm.
The lyrics have a mistake, Jay Z is also saying "I took the top off da Maybech N*****" in the background, along with his wife Beyonce.
Of course it looks bad when you post it this way. Have you actually listened to the song though? It sounds extremely good and is very catchy.
ongoing aftereffect of MK-ultra cultural programming. All started with rock n roll, blues, jazz doped up niggers strumming repetetive and nonsensical riffs with little sense, now we have hip-hop as a retarded child of all that jazz shit
No, and non meming i like some rap music.
This though is absolutely terrible
I thought to myself, maybe I should just accept this is rap now. Then I listened to D Rose, mass pandemic when?
high repetition of lyrics is meant to induce a kind of trance state
not inherently a bad thing, just most people don't fully comprehend that they're being programmed
>Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
>too sophisticated to comprehend
>implying there isn't someone saving the whole music industry right now (pic related)
There was a really great thread about this earlier. user basically said that music made my black people focuses only on the rhythm and white music focuses on melody and/or complexity. Also someone posted a video titled "african tribal music" and it sounded identical to modern rap lol.

I really feel like an old fag but even when I was young I didn't like music like this.
It's not even that it's "black music". I always have liked Tech N9ne and Lik Kim because they were good rappers and made catching songs but this is just lobotomy style
