I live in a very red state and we still have publicly owned utilities for power/water/gas. It’s always one of my favorite things to bring up to conservatives who whine about ‘muh ebul soshilisms’, how we have some of the lowest utility costs in the country because they don’t exist to enrich a small group of billionaires.
Not to say they’re legit socialist ideals by any means, but they sure as shit could be worse.
1. Gov should be run by popular vote. 2. Gov should should run one of every utility. If private corps fail or are frauds, then the gov will be there to act as a net. If private corp does a good job, then great. But the gov one should always be there.

Yes that is the national socialist way. We had it in Australia but then when our government dropped many natsoc policies, they privatised our utilities now the prices are fucking ridiculous.
Public utilities still fit within the purview of limited government. There are a few legitimate functions of the state they include controlling immigration, the military, and public utilities/sanitation.

How can government perform anything more cheaply than the market? They produce nothing, skim a small % as a transfer charge. You live in a subsided nigger hole. Kill yourself.
>the gov will be there to act as a net. At that point, the gov should run the whole thing
Cooper Morris
duh you can never have public commodities to sell publically >must have the jews own it all. ((((((((utility)))))))))

>lowest utility costs in the country because subsidies from taxpayers (The people who work and earn a living.)

Utility companies in small or medium sized cities are actually perfect examples of natural monopolies. Very high fixed costs means a high market entry barrier. Its the only situation in which a true monopoly can exist without regulations enabling it
Leo Moore
>They produce nothing Why do Americans always say weird stuff like that? It's a blatant lie and just a very basic knowledge of History is enough to disprove it.
This is true. Although I'm in a blue state (NM) our utility monopolies are great. E.g., in a 1300 sq ft house I pay $60 a month for electric. I cross the border into Texas and that jumps to $300 a month because they privatized it. Water/sewage is $50 a month here but 3x that much in Texas.

You can either have free healthcare, free utilities and high standards of living OR babysit millions of useless niggers, spics and spend trillions on foreign aid and a military budget to be ready to fight on behalf if IsraHELL, can't have both.
>1. Gov should be run by popular vote. So what will you do when the popular vote will be to flood the country with easily manipulable low IQ-apes? Democracy inevitably leads to dishonest authoritarianism.
Matthew Jones
Hurrrr durr Gas lines are not city owned and contracted out They can be outbided
It’s not a monopoly is just an agreement and who’s willing to pay the most for the most time
James Edwards
I'm in a blue state and National Grid is my only source for residential electricity and natural gas. Cox is my only source for broadband over 3mbps.
But hey, free market amirite
