Kill la Kill

What did you think about this masterpiece?

That it wasn't a masterpiece.

It wasn't a masterpiece but it was a damn fun ride.

Satsuki's Ass > Ryoko's Tits.

Loved it; f/a/gs can say what they want, but it served its purpose - providing the viewer entertainment.

Most disappointment i've had watching an anime and it took me 11 episodes to realize I was kidding myself that it would get better.

It got worse and worse and never recovered

It objectively peaked at episode 18.
Not that 21, 24 or 25 were that much worse.

>It wasn't a masterpiece

Hello, contrarians.

It starts off at a light 7 and gets worse over time
The only noteworthy thing about it is that it inspired a lot of good pornography

KLK has barely any good porn, newfag.

Anime was kinda a clusterfuck but I really enjoyed Ryuko's design and personality, still one of my favorite girls in anime to this date.

>ugly
>shit characters
>shit world
>shit plot
>rarely funny
>doesn't build up to anything for at least the first 11 episodes
>meh music

It spat in the face of what they did at Gainax.

>>doesn't build up to anything for at least the first 11 episodes
>muh plot brainlet
The first 11 episodes are as thematically dense as anything Gainax ever did and vital for the discourse of the show as a whole.
Maybe you're just slow, as suggested by the insightful critique in the rest of your post.

They tried way too hard to make the final battle reach the levels of ridiculous expected from Trigger. LWA has a lot more natural final gigantic orbital attack.

The world ending stakes in LWA were retarded and out of place in a show where the MC was weak and incompetent even compared to an average teenager. Great Triskellion and chosen one bullshit were mistakes.
Not to mention how retarded the whole riots/political plot was.

Characters that started out chad as fuck but were later revealed to be total messes/losers.

100% objectively true

nothing. I didn't watch it

Objectively wrong.

My favorite anime ever, seen it maybe 4 times to date, and have the "Ask not the eagle..." quote tattooed on my shoulder. Absolute masterpiece.

Greatest Love Story Ever Told

(You)
Sorry, wrong pic.

The animation was terrible

Nah

Kind of falls apart towards the end. Stronger start than Gurren Lagann tho.

It peaked at episode 3.

Worst asspull ever.

ep 1 was a masterpiece. as a whole, it was a 6/10 and im being generous

3 doesn't even have the best Ryuko/Satsuki fight.

It was a 9/10 and I'm being harsh.

>You will never sync up with Ryuko's heartbeat to fire a big dumb laser at some loud pink womanlet

It was made to make the studio some easy money. It was made to have mass appeal for any and all anime fans.

It had very little artistic merit, but it does have a lot of cute and sexy girls, and that's what matters.

Another anime about "the power of friendship", never understood why people liked it

It was very good.

Unit this day I still listen to "DON'T LOSE YOUR WHEEEY!"

9/10 is somethign I would give to one punch man or drifters, not that hack anime

...

It was obviously a passion project for Imaishi as it contains all the things he loves, tackles the same themes as the rest of his works, and seems the logical continuation to his incredible RE: Cutie Honey episode, with more creative freedom. It's also something they obviously had a lot of fun with.
You choosing to experience it in the shallowest way possible is your problem.

Btw Satsuki is 10/10 protagonist. Gama and Uzu are 9/10.

>it has inventive animation!

No, it really doesn't.
Watch mre Yoshinori Kanada and Osamu Dezaki anime.

...

...

Way too cringey, for lack of a better label, and that's saying something because I'm normally a big fan of overdramatic stories and silly premises that take themselves seriously.

The characters were genuinely fun as fuck to just watch interact with each other, and that isn't really common enough in most fiction, let alone anime. You could toss any combination of the characters together and get a good chuckle. Animation wasn't stellar, but it did the job. Visual design, though, was pretty outstanding. Non-transformed Ryuuko gets my dick going like nothing else. Story was silly but obviously serving a theme that held it together well enough. And the music was flawless.

Solid 8/10- not a masterpiece, but an exceptionally well put-together work with no major failings.
